Avatar
Sorry but I could not go on after the second paragraph said this That's right: Only the little people wait in line anymore. Whether it's United Airlines and the TSA or Six Flags, the wealthy are being teed up to get a clearer swing. Well I get sick and tired of reading class warfare comments. Since the author showed me the angle he was taking that was as far as I needed to go. I am in no way wealthy but at times I have chosen to do a fast queue system like last year at Universal when I only had a few hours to get through the park. I think Disney does it the best No charge and is available to every ticket holder.
The Interpreter
...for now, at least. Disneyland Paris is testing a version that is not free...
DaveStroem
Good article. We are heading to SFGAm tomorrow and am planning on getting a GFP. We want to get our fill of coasters in. The locals say that the park has not been very busy on Sundays with only 45 minute average waits. To me that sounds relatively busy and enough to make the GFP worth it. Our current record is 44 laps on the 17 different coasters at CP. This of course was CoasterMania and was an 18 hour day. I am hoping to get close to this at SFGAm. KIlover123
Dave, get a gold one when at SFGAm. we did 64 laps on Raging Bull (their B&M Hyper) in a weekend. with the gold you can reserve it after the guy scans it and then it will beep after the ride is over. violakat03
We are not wealthy in the slightest, but we got a gold flash pass at SFOG. It was definitely worth it and I think we will probably factor it into any future distant amusement park visits when we are planning out the costs. We went on a Monday in July and waits were averaging 45 minutes to an hour. The flash pass cut them down to 5 to 10 minutes, so we were able to ride all the coasters we wanted to within a few hours. Money seems to be all that matters, so I got a bigger apartment where I can spend most of my time holed up in it. I am ok with that. I was middle class, once.... Its ok though-if you got it, flaunt it, just not for me. I believe perks like this are the reason line jumping is such an issue at KI now. maverick2007
I think Flash Pass is worth it only at big parks and on crowded days. I made the mistake of paying the arm-and-leg prices they charge on an empty day that I thought was going to be crowded but wasn't. Yeah I screwed up
goofywdw
I have heard great things about the system at Universal Orlando. I forget what it is called but we are willing to pay because we are only going to be able to spend one day for both of the parks.
Guest rcfreak339
Peaple have to remember that Six Flags is in a tough time and really can't offered to handing out flash passes like Disney can. Flash Passes are worth it on crowded days but I hate it when people complain the price for flash passes, If they are so expensive then just wait in the line. Dvo
I got the flash pass at SFGAm once, and I didn't think it was worth it at all. First of all, I only like a few of the coasters in the first place. But also, with the flash pass, all you want to do is ride the rides that you can reserve, so we ended up not riding any of the flats, etc. all day.
