Well due to being a full time adult college student, and going to school year round. I have not been able to go to KI in 2 years. Well I just bought my tickets online for Aug 14th, for $22 a ticket. Great Deal. Can't wait to ride Diamondback and The Beast. What is the best food option for someone on a limited budget? Anyone else going up on the 14th?

best food option is definately not anywhere in the park if your going cheap. get a handstamp and go pack a lunch, or eat at somewhere like mcds, wendys, popeyes, skyline, bk, taco bell, etc that are all right outside the park. and yeah, sadly they got rid of the unlimited drink wristbands after may which was a real dissapointment. have fun! i may well be there, as thats my birthday!

he did say on a limited budget... seriously can you people not read? never in my life have i paid 16.99 for one person for a meal. I normally spend about 5.50 to go to mcdonalds and get a big mac meal, a southern style chicken meal, or their new angus bacon cheeseburger meal.

16.99 is NOT cheap. Food at the park is very expensive, and I personally find the buffet's kind of gross, so I would suggest Subway or Chick Fil A. They cost more than they do out of KI, but they are MUCH less than 16.99.

Oops... never mind... I wasn't paying attention... I probably won't be able to go then. Sorry.

Edit again: Okay, long story made short, my parents are divorced. I asked my mom if she could let me go to me dad's on that Friday to go to KI, and she said I could, but I'm not sure if my dad could... man, I can't wait until I get my license. :P

16.99 is a deal. If you go to FestHaus and buy Pepperoni pizza, fries and a drink it comes out to 15 and something dollars. At the buffet if you are to get two different styles of main dishes like I did, popcorn shrimp and pasta, get some actual vegetables green beans, broccoli, etc., and at least 2 refills on a Coke it pays for it self. I'm not saying go their for every meal at the park but for dinner that restaurant is an A+ choice.

really? im not even going to argue that. rediculous. i really wish everyone grew up with just enough money to survive, because then you can appreciate what really is important and what really isnt no matter how much money you earn later in life.

Quite frankly, with a Platinum or season's pass, I think the Backyard BBQ with the discount is a very good deal, as well. Then again, I have no compunction about snarfing up lettuce out of the condiments area, adding some tomato, a pickle or two, some onions, and the honey mustard meant for the chicken tenders--instant salad! :)

And then there's the real cheddar cheese, the weiners, the burger meat...Adkin's low carb wonders! :)

Or real ice cream sandwiches!

It's a good deal, though the time of day is a bit odd.....

Mmmm, Terpy, you make Addict hungry. :)

You can pay less than 10 at Chick Fil A for a really good sandwich. 6 bucks less. That's pretty good considering it's KI. So what I'm saying is you don't have to go to a buffet to watch your budget! Do what you want though, this is just my opinion.

What can I say -- I <3 Chick Fil A!

I must respectfully disagree. I personally hate Chick Fil A. I tryed it once and threw it out. But I've only had it once so I don't think I can REALLY speak my opinion yet. I may try it again. I think that was when I wasn't feeling good. I go to the park no matter how sick I am. I don't care if I infect the world with my H1N1! Oops, was that too loud.

I agree with that. My family was considering doing it, but then by the time we found out it was 3- 4:30, it was already 4:42, so we ended up not eating at the picnic.

To save money, one day I went with my friend and we bought some food, put it in a cooler, and put it in the trunk of the car. At lunch and dinner time, we went back out, sat in the car, and ate. Oh, and SOB won't be open. Most Likely.

I'm going to eat in the park. I was just wanting to know the best bang for the buck. Thanks for all who answered. Probably will have some LaRosas, definitely potato works, a funnel cake, Oh yeah , blue soft serve. I hoping this coller weather holds out until next week.

On the blue soft serve - even though it is not on the menu board, you can order a kids size and still get a good amount of ice cream at a lower price. I know this to be true when ordered in a cup versus a cone, not sure if kids size cones are offered.
