WildCat Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 I was at PKI on wednesday while I was in line for SOB the employees started to send a train up the lift and then let it sit. When I got off SOB and walked over to the Top Gun line it was closed. Around 6:00 pm when I was on the Tower I saw that Top Gun started to run again and it was open this time but no one was ridding it. Is there something going on with the coaster?
Crazy31088 Posted June 29, 2003 Posted June 29, 2003 Of all the rides at the park, it seems to me like Top Gun is the one that has the most problems. There have been no less than three times when I've been in line for it when the ride closes for one reason or another...that's not happened before to me on *any* other ride.
DanielRadsgrl Posted June 29, 2003 Posted June 29, 2003 I have to disagree but it's opinion i think that Tomb Riader has the most problems.
Andy Posted June 29, 2003 Posted June 29, 2003 Top Gun has never been down when I am there, you must just go on bad days I guess. I actually thinhk Tomb raider is the ride that has the most problems too.
DX8706 Posted June 29, 2003 Posted June 29, 2003 I've been in line for Face/Off twice when it has broken down, both times with my cousin who's never ridden it. I guess he's bad luck. Anyway that and King Cobra are the only rides I've been in ine for when they've broken down.
Xx2cansamxX Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 It was probably empty because no one ever rides it. You can walk on it almost everyday, anytime of the day.
RiSK Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Since the 'incident' last year, seems the common misconception is downtime. Indeed, this ride is almost always up. Top Gun downtime is very far and between.
teenageninja Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Top top top top top tahtop gun watch out for that truck! *******h*i*n*t*******
Aaron Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Moving Top Gun Train + Sitting Maintenance Truck = Not Good.
Beastfreak Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 It equals 42. The meaning of life. Paramount's Kings Island is owned by Viacom. Viacom is slowly taking over the world. Soon everyone will love the number 42.
Aaron Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Use some common sense and actually read what people have been posting and figure it out.
bignathan4403 Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Top Gun's train rammed into a truck. I dont know anything else.

CantStopCabron Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 lol, you have to admit it took the guy more than ten post before he figured it out. And he didn't even figure it out, he was told. That is prety thick headed if you ask me.

Tanner Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Read the topic, use common sense; and you would have (more than likely) realized who I was talking about.
Dane Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Xx2cansamxX may I ask your age? You can PM me if you wish.
BoddaH1994 Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 Well, for those of you who don't know, which seems like it's just one of you. Last year, there was some sort of miscommunication between the maintenance staff and the ride operators. The ride operator did not know that one of the maintenance staff's trucks were parked way too close to track and during a test run, the train collided with the truck. Both were badly damaged. Top Gun opened a few days later using only the undamaged train. Good story, isn't it? -Ryan
Losing Streak Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 Back to the problems. TG was closed all day saturday and sunday, and it couldn't have been due to understaffing, as both were anticipated to be high attendance days. Clearly there must have been something wrong, especially to shut it down on two days when they were expecting a lot of people.
