Drop Zone And Delirium

Featured Replies

How come if you over a certain height you cant ride drop zone or delurium. Deluruim there is a little polls stick out of a roof on the sign that says deluriim do they not want people to hit this with there feet or what?

What? wink.gif

What I think you are saying is...

Why is it that if you are over a certain height, you can't ride Delirium or Drop Zone?

It's because those type of restraints don't move up and down on an axle, they spin on it. Since the axle dosent move up and down, it can squash a tall person in there from their sholders.

That could be but mostly its because you dont fit correctly in the restraints. The park doesnt want anyone getting hurt on their rides. I dont think the poles are close enough to actually come in contact with, so its basically because of how the restraints are made.

yea that sucks though cause you wait years to be tall enough to ride a ride and then a few years later you're TOO tall to ride it. that's what i hate about those rules cause someday i may be too tall you ride the rides that i love. dry.gif

Actually they don't check if you're too tall. I'm almost 6'5" and they don't check me for Delirium. Drop Zone of course is a taller height limit, but Delirium is 6'4". Last week while waiting for some friends to come off the last ride of the night I checked with the red line they have where the attendant sits. I was taller than where that line ended. I fit fine in Delirium until the ops come by and push the restraint down. To tell you the truth I don't see why they push down, once the ride starts they get really heavy and would fall those extra clicks anyways. Oh well, all with rider safety.

Also I think they wont let you go on drop zone if your sholders are too wide. The restraint wont go down or somthing, that has happend to someone I know. unsure.gif

Also when you drop you'll get hurt more because the restariant holds you down so when it comes in contact(If youre already tall it will already)it'ss hurt even more, well i think...

Son of Beast and Flight of Fear, dont you have to be less than a certain height? Me and my 6'2" friend went to KI, and he couldn't fit on SOB or FoF.

I never heard of a height limit on the coasters cept King Cobra. As long as you get the bar down one click with all parts in the car you can ride. Why dont they make differnt restraints on drop zone and delruim so everyone can ride?

Yes, the both have height limits. Don't quite me on this, but I think it's 6' 5 or so. I happened to see the same guy not fit into the restraints on both rides on day and he was 6' 7 I believe. The ride ops told him to cross his legs and that whole rountine, but it didn't work. I'm not sure if it's a park rule about these limits, but I'm sure that Premier built the cars intended to be used within a height range.

Delirium has a system where the ride will not start till every restraint is down 4 clicks, rediculous I know but it just won't run.

I could understand 2 clicks but 4? If it was 1 click the lock might slip once. Doesnt bother me cause I can ride.
