Delirium_Guy
Nick when are you going? We are going to US/IOA Sept 30- Oct 1 and Mickeys Halloween on the 6th of October. Hope to see you there. I'm gonna be missing opening weekend of HHN, but have my Frequent Fear pass ready to go :-) This weekend I'll be checking out the great Halloween goodies that Disneyland is offering, looking forward to Ghost Galaxy. HHN is looking promising this year, but I'm more interested in seeing Howl-o-Scream....I've talked to many people who actually prefer it to HHN! Either way, much fun awaits in Orlando over the next month. Avatar, have you done Food and Wine at Epcot?
Avatar
Avatar, have you done Food and Wine at Epcot? Delirium_Guy how exciting about checking Disneyland out, I can not wait to hear more about it form you because you give the best reviews. I have never been to Disneyland but I want to go next year after they open their new night show "Wonderful World Of Color". We are putting of the Busch/Seaworld and Discovery Cove parks this year so that we can save a bit this year and concentrate on taking full advantage of the free Universal tickets we have. The thing is we looked forward to the Discovery Cove and the Busch parks so much that we are kind of bumed but know next year we will be able to have more time there and will have gotten other destinations out of the way. Delirium_Guy we have been to the Food and Wine Festival the past three years and have loved the food samplings and the free concerts, with Starship and Beach Boys being our favorite. This year we will be limited to WDW for 4 days so EPCOT is scheduled to happen for us on the 5th of October and that nights concert does not do anything for me. Oh well , we can not win them all. Hope to hear more about your trip, have fun!!! - Jesse Edit to add; Picture Itinerary here is what we have planned thus far for our trip. DaveStroem
We are heading down to the mouse on Friday and leaving on the 30th. Planning on the MNNSHP for the 29th depending on weather. I decided not to pre book it. If it is sold out, I wouldn't have wanted to go then anyways.
Captain Picard
I will be at HHN Oct 8 and Busch Gardens or SeaWorld on the 7th or 9th. Other possible stops at Clearwater Beach, Flippers Pizzeria, Fred's Southern Kitchen and the Terpy recommended Mel's Hot Dogs.
Diamondback FOF
Edit to add; Picture Itinerary here is what we have planned thus far for our trip. Wow. That is so cool. You guys are definitely organized and plan your visit. When we went to Florida, we bought tickets to Dianey, Seaworld, and the picnic at Seaworld. That was the only planning we did. We didn't know which park we were going to when (except Seaworld because of the picnic). We decided the night before and during the morning what park to go to. But, we weren't looking to go to places specifially because it was our first trip.
Avatar
Dave have a great trip the MNSSHP is a real blast and well worth the money and in my opinion, I can not think of a better way to end a Disney trip. It usually never sells out until late October dates. The don't miss activities is the Villains Mix and Mingle, Boo To You Parade and Hallowishes ( on Main street but not to close, seriously. Please make sure you dress up, I did not my first time and regretted it but last year I did and it really helped being in character for such an event with the whole family. Captain we were going to go to HHN and on the 8th but my step-son found out he could not go on vacation with us so we changed things around and decided to wait to go next year with him and who knows maybe we could get more KIC's to go next year. I know you guys will have fun as usual and that business stays steady after you get back. Diamondback FOF thanks I have done that for years and it only takes me about a half hour to do one. The family likes it to see what they are doing from one day to another in a fun way. I offer the Picture Itinerary to members of a paid site and to date it has been downloaded or e-mailed over 5,000. times to about everywhere in the world. If anyone wants a copy to get started just let me know. I am cheap and like to find good deals so we can do more with our budget. Like doing the Disney Halloween party for $50.00 for 8 hours with extra special activities versus paying $78.00 for 12 hours of regular park fun. So sometimes the deals dictate what and where we go. I don't really plan on what we do once we get there other than have made a reservation ahead of time so we can enjoy an air condition meal when we would like to eat. Like I said earlier I belong to a paid site that teaches members how to tour a park (not tell them what to ride in order) that fits our needs so that we may have lots of free time to enjoy the magic as it happens instead of being in lines in the heat of the day. Not to sound mean so please don't take it that way, but the paid site counts on 90% of the parks guests to tour they way you said. That makes touring a park great because the general public will tour very predictable and knowing what others will do and on what days we do opposite. I have done it for so long now it is just like second nature, keep in mind I have no set way to hit one attraction over another other than knowing the type of rides and how the public will generally tour. To us it gives us a lot of free time to do other things. It seems so many KIC's are going to Florida this year, I have always thought it would be fun to get a group to go down together.
