CP+KI Girl Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I was just wondering, because I wouldn't want to wait for something stupid. Quote
MagicDanTheMan Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 All I have to say is that in my opinion Cut Throat Cove was just horrible yesterday. Too short and not scary enough. It was pretty much just Red Beards Revenge set up differently and a little worse. I thought Slaughter House was pretty sweet though. Especially the accuracy in smells Quote
Wolf Like Me Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I liked Cut Throat. It was pretty cheesy but there were a few good scares in there and it was fun to walk through. I wasn't a fan of Slaughterhouse. It's done up really really nice.. I mean it smells horrible throughout the whole thing. But there's a few rooms where it's totally fogged out and you can't find your way out. I guess that's supposed to be scary but to me it's just annoying when I'm running into different walls for 5 minutes with the scareactors yelling which way to go. Quote
Haunt_mistress09 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 eeek! Slaughter house smells? hmm Although i love gore and go crazy for a good haunt... smells make me insta-sick. I don't know why but they do.. this sucks Quote
TheCryptRaider Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I was hoping they wouldn't make it smell. Is it because of the animals that is stinks? Or is it supposed to be the smell of the 'bodies?' Quote
Diamondback FOF Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Yes. But only because Terpy isn't here right now. Seriously, I think it is a little combination of both, but I can't be sure since I've not gone through it yet and I don't know how it is set up. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Oh, Terpy's here...but some things are not worth going into...so to speak. To the loo..... Quote
Diamondback FOF Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Well, I guess Terpy is here even when you think he isn't. So mysterious. *starts creepy music* Also, you're up late tonight (or up early this morning, depending on how you look at it). Quote
Dvo Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 The word on the street is that KI had live pigs in Slaughterhouse during the day, but at the last minute they were told to take them out. Which resulted in a pretty foul odor. And I agree that Slaughterhouse was way too foggy. I was with Tom and Angie and I could barely see Angie, even though she was within an arm's reach of me. But that was only the first half. The 2nd half of the haunt was pretty solid. Pretty gross, but pretty good. Didn't make it through cut throat cove. 1 Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 If you think the odor was fowl (and yes, I can spell) the way it was, imagine if they had still been there. Yet another hare-brained idea by whoever 'planned' this year's Haunt? Quote
Diamondback FOF Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I wonder why they were ordered to remove the pigs. And yeah, those pigs would make it smell pretty bad. Or maybe, they had the pigs stay in the maze for a while just so it would start to smell. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 What's next? Feeding skunks and then upsetting them right before a maze opens? After all no person and no thing is off limits...oh, wait...that was last year. Quote
Diamondback FOF Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I think you should remove that from your post because I don't want someone from KI to read that and start getting ideas for next year . Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I will admit that idea stinks, but it is not all that different from some of the stuff that was previewed for a tv station but didn't quite make opening night... Quote
Diamondback FOF Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I definitely agree, although if I had to choose one to be present at Haunt, I know which one I'd choose (hint-I wouldn't come out of Haunt smelling really bad, unless I got sweaty). Quote
Wolf Like Me Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I would've liked Slaughterhouse if it wasn't 5 minutes of running into walls while the whole thing smelled like pig ****. Quote
flying eagles Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 any one notice the boiler in slauter house that was from phantom theater. Quote
12dropzone34 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 cut throat cove was short and boring but kinda scary on friday with the slippery wet floor slaughter house got a shorter line throughout the night it was very scary/fun and accurate the car got me good... Quote
HTCO Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 any one notice the boiler in slaughter house that was from phantom theater. Yeah I noticed that. It was pretty cool! What was with that random car in Slaughter House? It made no sense? Quote
Coney Islander Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Sorta reminds me of this scene in The WEBN haunted house... You walk into a really dark room, and then suddenly all the lights turn on, a car horn goes off and a skeleton pops out from under the car... right into the MIDDLE of the walkway... I'm surprised I didn't break that darned thing when I tripped over and fell on it... Quote

Darn, I'm just missing everyone as they come through. The only ones I saw were Ryan, Robbie, Karen, Peanut and keiko_coaster. And when I saw Peanut, I couldn't decide if it was her or not. By the time I decided it was, it was too late to say anything. Quote
Jasper Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I am hoping that by the time I get to go through Slaughter House the maze kind of starts to smell hopefully a little bit better. Smells irritate my stomach and if I smeel it for too long it can make me really sick. That is a nice touch to add to the maze though I must admit. A stinky one, but good. Quote
StalkerChick Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 If you've ever drove through the country on one of thoes warm summer manure spreading nights, its really not as bad as everyone's making it out to be. and i went through when the animals were still there! but maybe its cuz i'm a country girl but again smells not quite as strong as yall are assuming... that and the rain and humidity doesn't really help dissipating the smell Quote

Wolf Like Me Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 The car didn't scare me one bit because I heard the horn go off multiple times while waiting in line. Quote

On Friday, it threw me off that you were in there so early. Quote
Tom76257 Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Where in Slaughter House are you at, Gator? I thought you were still in Club Blood. Quote
XGatorHead 8904 Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 ^Well, that depends. On Friday I was in the butcher room (right after the freezer). Saturday I started there, but was moved to the kitchen a few hours into the night. Not sure where I'll be next. But if you see a crazed butcher wearing a black and white checkered doo-rag on his head, offering you a free sample of some nicely roasted meat... Quote
hamoperator Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 On one of the threads it tells that at Slaughter House, the meat van is also The Mystery Machine. Does anyone know if that white paint will come off? That Mystery Machine is a classic.... It would be a shame to loose it even with no more Scooby Doo. Quote
CedarPointer Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Probably not. TRTR jeep is by Delirium. Some of the PT props are missing limbs. So, yeah... Quote
