Coaster Kid Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I just set it to record the second I saw this post thanks Raptor. Quote
CP+KI Girl Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I've never seen it. I'm going to record it. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 You are in for a treat. Just the views of the park alone would be worth it! Quote
raptor Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 I wish there had been more footage of Hanna Barbara Land, but it is great to watch Quote
MrTools Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Ohhh, i will have to watch, however i dont know if i will be home at the time. I will just have to see how thing turn out. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Cedar Fair ends up buying the park. But that's later.... Quote
markr Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Keep your eye out for some editing mistakes in this episode. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Also known as continuity...which isn't the bestest in the world, but it was television! Indeed, even some very expensive movies have some hysterical continuity mistakes! Quote
markr Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 ^I agree. The continuity errors don't make me love this Brady episode any less, in fact it makes me love it more. Quote
TheCryptRaider Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 OHMYGOSH. I'm recording it! I've been waiting to see it in it's enirety for a long long time! Quote
DropZone99 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I'm watching Brady Bunch right now, I can't wait to see the KI episode again. I haven't seen it in many years! Quote
Beast1979 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I'm recording it now. I can't wait to watch it, having seen them ride Racer in 2008 it just seems right to see them ride racer 35 years ago. Quote
coastermike Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I just set it to record the second I saw this post thanks Raptor. Double-check your timer settings. The episodes are not starting exactly on the hour or half-hour. Mike B. Quote
TheCryptRaider Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 It's on now!!! (3:19 = title sequence) Quote
SnakePit Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Interpreter, what was it like growing up a boy genius? Quote
Whales_Rock Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Oh wow! XD That was interesting to see! I didn't know The Racer was painted like that! Quote
CedarPointer Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Leave it to me to find this at 3:57. Quote
KI Kevin Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I'm sure glad I went to record it right at about 3:17, right before it actually started. That run at the end did seem a bit unrealistic considering they ran from about where The Beast is, all the way to the front and passed Coney Mall. Quote
CP+KI Girl Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 The Wheel of Fortune ride looked cool. Quote
raptor Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 The Wheel of Fortune ride looked cool. Still looks like that, with the name changed to Casino as it makes it's home at Delgrosso's Park in Tipton, PA Quote
IslandAddict Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 ^Nice find! I turned it on at 3:30 and it seemed about half way through, but it was nice seeing all those older rides (No offence to Terpy! ). Quote
markr Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I'm sure glad I went to record it right at about 3:17, right before it actually started. That run at the end did seem a bit unrealistic considering they ran from about where The Beast is, all the way to the front and passed Coney Mall. It should have been almost a hop, skip and a jump to the front of the park to get those plans to Mr. Brady. Of course, they never tell you the name of the park in the episode, they simply say an amusement park in Cincinnati. I guess that can give them some artistic license. Quote
Sergeant Pepper Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I noticed they were walking by the antique car rail. (in a few scenes) Quote
markr Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 The Wheel of Fortune ride looked cool. That was the old Cloud Nine ride from Coney. Quote
Jasper Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I just now got home from work but, have no fear as I did not miss this episode, nor did I record it. I actually have the entire Brady Bunch Seasons 1-5 on DVD, yes the big shag rug box. I watch it from time to time when I feel a bit of nostalgia come on, which is right now. I might watch all of season 5 while I'm at it. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Interpreter, what was it like growing up a boy genius? I wouldn't know. Ask Dave Althoff, Jr., or, for that matter, at least one of the moderators here, who graduated first in his class in a very difficult masters program! Quote
RecaraceR Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Aw crud, and I missed it. I haven't seen it in its entirety in about 10 years. At least not on a big screen. A heads-up while I'm at it, for anyone looking for this episode it's in the Brady Bunch season 5 box set. The episode is also up on Youtube. Quote
Dbfan Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Ive never seen it. It looked good, but was very unrealistic at times. Standing next to the antique cars? Then when they were passing off the things, 2 different people ran thorugh international street. Quote
PREMiERdrum Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Interpreter, what was it like growing up a boy genius? I wouldn't know. Ask Dave Althoff, Jr., or, for that matter, at least one of the moderators here, who graduated first in his class in a very difficult masters program! Does Dave post here? I know him very well (he works at the college I went to), but I've never seen him post here. Quote
