Disney steps up H1N1 precautions

Featured Replies

...Disney this week installed dozens of bulk hand-sanitizer dispensers in high-traffic locations throughout the giant resort, including park entrances, hotel lobbies and busy character-meet-and-greet areas. It also began printing basic health-safety tips — reminding guests to cover their mouths when coughing or sneezing, wash their hands frequently, and seek medical attention if experiencing flu-like symptoms — on the fliers that list park hours, show times and other information.

Altogether, Disney said, it added more than 60 bulk sanitizer dispensers between Disney World and Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif....

Only 60?

It said ADDED. There were plenty of hand sanitizers when we were there in September. So the addition of 60 more is quite a few.

This is also only in guest areas. Back stage there are already hundreds of hand sanitizers for cast members.

Ugh, I cannot believe the responses to that article. Temporarily halting the use of biometric scanners? Really, is that the real problem here? What else? How about temporarily halting the usage of lap bars; or hand rails; or door knobs; or just not letting you be around people? Really? The fingerprint scanners are there so that in the event that someone finds your ticket, that they cannot use it. They're trying to help you, not hurt you.
