Is anyone going to Carowinds for the opening of Intimidator on 3/27/2010?

Well I haven't even asked yet (I need to.) But if I get accepted from one of the many places I have applied for, I'm going to ask my Mom if we can go on a small spring break to Carowinds and Charlotte. I could pay for my own plane ticket with my money (if I get the job), and I'll get in free with my Platinum Pass. I could even give my Mom some money for a hotel. And if she still has the same boyfriend by then, He would probably help out alot. So I really do think I have a chance of going but defiantly not 100%!

I should be going, but that depends on RZ's schedule...

I made plenty of money snow-plowing this winter, so most of my park trips for this year are paid for, if only people are interested in going!

I might go havent decided yet. It will be one of those spur of the moment thing if I go or I might take a Great Adventure who knows.

Most likely not, and definitely not if my family goes to WDW this year.

I really want to go. I doubt it is going to happen as we are hitting 4 parks the next weekend including Carowinds. Saturdays, can be busy for me at the shop so closing 2 in a row would be a bad thing.

Well, I`d love to get down to Carowinds again. Unfortunately, I don`t really have the luxury of taking a Friday or Monday off of work. At least not right now when I am a contract employee, which will hopefully turn into full time employment here by the end of April.

So if we can swing a Saturday and Sunday trip, then I`m game. I could potentially leave work an hour early on a Friday to head down to Carowinds and/or Dollywood.

I'm up for leaving at 5 on a friday and driving all night and driving back sunday lol

I really don't see the point of planning to go to both Carowinds opening day and KD opening day, unless you live close to the parks and/or have a lot of money, or if you're planning to spend at least a week down there. It makes no sense to me to make two trips all the way down there if you're planning to go to KD opening day and it isn't even open on the first trip. The opening days are a week apart.. why not just wait?

What if you had waited til the week after Son of Beast opened in 2000?

The other issue is timing. Nick and I just can't take that much time. We can do two two-day trips, but not one four-day trip due to class scheduling, so that's what we're doing.
