The Interpreter
...And despite the snow and mud, workers are laying the foundation -- down 20 feet into bedrock -- to support the park's newest ride, the Sky Rocket, which will take you from zero to 50 miles an hour in just three seconds. But the biggest news at Kennywood? "Wow. It's been a long time coming. It's something we've talked about for a number of years. We're really excited about it," says Jerome Gibas, Kennywood's general manager. For the first time ever they will be selling a season pass to the amusement park. The price is $89.99 per person.... http://kdka.com/loca....2.1529236.html
CoastersRZ
And as has been reported elsewhere, they likely are only going to be selling a limited number of passes. Per the article, they haven`t officially decided if they are going to have a cutoff date, or a cutoff amount of passes they will sell. Bottom line is, if you want a season pass for the first time to Kennywood, you best be checking out their website and ordering sooner rather than later! DaveStroem
We will be going to Kennywood this year but I don't see this park being more then a once a year place. Sure it is quaint and has some decent coasters but in my other 2 trips to the park we have been able to knock out everything we wanted to do before lunch. I guess if your in the area this would be a good deal. Last year we were able to get tickets from AAA for $22 so you would have to go 5 times to make it worth while. Even if I were in Pittsburgh, I don't know that I would go to Kennywood 5 times in a season.
Captain Picard
I liked to go once a year in the past. After a disappointing trip to Phantom Fright Nights 2 or 3 years ago I haven't been back. I think one trip a year to Kennywood is all you need and anymore will ruin it for you.
