BoddaH1994
Notice the phrasing: This is the 180th and final update for this blog. It is being retired. To those that have been following this blog, thank you! We hope you enjoyed the updates and photos that have been posted since the blog was introduced in February of 2009.For park updates and photos become a fan on Facebook at www.facebook.com/visitkingsisland And to think, Kings Island plans to launch their new web site soon, likely with more fan-friendly content. Take that for what it's worth.
Diamondback96
I don't think it has anything to do with the website anymore. There are quite a few Q's now. Guess we have to wait until 040810... Wait, why am I making the puns now?
Aaron88stang
Cedar Point has shut down their blog as well.
countess_of_tuscany
I noticed that the date on them was April 1st (both CP's and KI's blog). I would assume that it is an april fools joke, considering that many companies did things like that yesterday. But, I could be wrong, but when I read the OnPoint! blog yesterday that said that, I automatically thought it was just a joke for April Fools! jrstacy98
I assumed the CP one is an April Fool's joke - if you were really going to do that it seems you'd make a bigger announcement and NOT do it April 1st.
Plankton
I want to think both are jokes because of the announcements occurring on April 1st. At the same time, a stunt like this might cost them readers who will believe it and never check the blog again. I also want to think it is for real because perhaps no one reads these blogs when compared to different content on Facebook or Twitter, so they figure channel more energy (and followers) into social networking sites and screw the blog. SOB_TOM
I don't think its a joke. Just something in my gut says that it is done and gone.
Diamondback FOF
I'm thinking Kings Island Insider is done because there will be a blog contained within the new website.
Diamondback96
Cedar Point's blog is back. I think the joke for the KI blog is to make us think it IS a joke.
Aaron88stang
Cedar Point's blog is back. I think the joke for the KI blog is to make us think it IS a joke. I see that the 5@5 are back on Facebook so maybe the blog retirement was a joke as well.
CoastersRZ
I`m really glad that the Cedar Point blog is back. I enjoy reading it. Tony and Tyler do a great job with their blog, especially the piece they did about coaster maintenance in the winter last week. It was an awesome piece that looked at the behind the scenes portion of winter amusement park operation that few people get to witness.
