4 pass package

My cousin, best friend, girlfriend and I would like to buy a Platinum Pass for this season. Right now, both KI and CP are offering the deal where if you buy 4 passes you save $10 each. On King's Island's website it says it must be processed at Kings Island. On Cedar Point's website it doesn't specify.

What I want to know is:

1. We don't all have to be related do we?

2. Do we get early entry for both Kings Island and CP or just the park we buy the passes from?

3. My best friend and I are going to King's Island on April 24Th, but we don't know when the rest of the group will be able to process...Does that matter if we don't process at the same time?

4. Should we all buy from CP's website so we can process at any of the parks?

And my 5Th question is the hardest....

My cousin's mother bought him a Gold Pass for Christmas. He says he wants in on our deal because he wants a platinum pass. Is there a way to terminate his other pass or a way to upgrade it to the package of 4 deal?

The four people do not have to be related in any way. You do not have to process Platinum Passes at the park where purchased, but Cedar Fair would prefer you do so. Platinum Passes get home park perks at every Cedar Fair park. As to your other questions, I'd call the park. Even then, I'd be a bit concerned about the answers until the passes were actually processed. And don't try to go to Carowinds two days in a row.

Nope, but you do have to be friends. Well, you don't HAVE to be friends, but life is better with more friends so why not?

You are entitled to all of the Gold/Platinum Pass benefits that are offered at all of the CF parks. I'd check their specific websites for details.

No, you can process whenever you want.

I'd call Kings Island @ 1-800-288-0808 for an official answer on that.

lol Doubt my mother would let me drive to Carowinds this year. I won't push my luck! So even though on the KI website it says only processed at Kings Island, I can do it wherever? Do you think we should buy them off the CP or KI website? Or do you think it matters?

answers:

1)no you dont all have to be related

2)I believe you get early entry to both(well all) parks

3)Everyone can process whenever they want. you dont have to be together

4)if you are unsure of where you are processing, then i would dsay yes. but if you know u are processing at ki, then go ahead and buy them there.

as for the fifth question, im really unsure. there probably is a way to easily terminate teh order.

Thanks to everybody for such fast replys. My computer can't keep up lol. I'll have my mom call KI tomorrow for the 5th question. I'm excited for this year! Any other advice for this stuff?

If you purchased a 2010 gold pass and want to upgrade, just go to window show gold pass and say that you want to upgrade.

To my understanding that is what you do. I am doing the same thing.

For the last question I am pretty sure that is a no. I'm not sure about the whole terminating idea but I do know that if you want the 4 pack deal and you want to have any add on's to that they all need to be bought at the same time.

And if they wish to upgrade from a gold to a platinum they can do so at the sales windows at the park and you should just have to pay the difference.
