EssentiallyCoaster Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Well, I took my first flight lesson and I convinced the instructor to let me fly over Kings Island. Here they are: I also finally went to Kings Island this year so today was the best day ever! Quote
icedripper Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 cool photos...would love to see some night shots when the lights from starlight experience are on. Quote
coaster_junky Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 i love how you took the picture just as Diamondback was going through the splash down. Quote
EssentiallyCoaster Posted May 16, 2010 Author Posted May 16, 2010 cool photos...would love to see some night shots when the lights from starlight experience are on. I doubt I will. You need a special endorsement to fly VFR at night. The latest I can schedule is 9 P.M. so I'll have to look. Quote
brick52 Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I kept seeing a plane flying around while I was working. Thats pretty cool. Quote
CincyMan98 Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Amazing shots! I wish Google Maps looked that great! Quote
standbyme Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Very cool! I love seeing aerial photos of the park. Thanks! Quote
pcc Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Next to last photo....WOW. Thank you for these...great to see the park from a different point of view Quote
DropZone99 Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Thanks for posting these awesome photos! Maybe you could do it again some other time, but when the park is closed. When the park is closed I think you can fly alot closer. Right? Quote
coaster_junky Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 ^i agree, lol. if you do another fly over Kings Island, would you please take some photos of Son of Beast's structure, like the rosebowl. Quote
segdog2 Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Your instructor isn't Mr. Pence was it? He used to be my instructor. Quote
EssentiallyCoaster Posted May 16, 2010 Author Posted May 16, 2010 I don't know his last name, his first name is Josh though. I could technically fly as close as I wanted anytime, just as long as I don't hit anything. I'll try to fly there more often when my training starts picking up. I'm glad you guys enjoy the pictures. The Interpreter Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Great pictures! And I envy you for your flying lessons! Terp, who LOVES heights...perhaps just a bit too much! Quote
