Shaggy
...with little fanfare. But still, a big step in the right direction. http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-451714?hpt=C2

standbyme
That's cool...when I was there around 10 years ago it was pretty depressing. A little story when I rode The Cyclone: My friends and I were the only ones on the train...as we were about to leave the operator noticed that I was holding my old school film camera in my hand. (It wouldn't fit in my pocket.) Anyway he comes up and says "You better let me hold on to that or you'll lose it". I thought to myself "This guy doesn't even know what a REAL coaster is...if I can hold onto stuff on The Beast it will be a piece of cake on this little thing". I must admit that we were all surprised how intense of a ride it gave for it's size...I knew then why it was a classic!
DaveStroem
Not all of the rides were up and running, but Coney Island's resurrected theme-park attraction opened over Memorial Day weekend to rave reviews and considerable fanfare. The dark aspect of the amusement park's history surfaced during the debut weekend when Joshua Perez, 17, was stabbed outside the new theme park on Saturday. Police arrested Christopher Acosta, 17, at the scene of the crime and charged him with assault. This story doesn't help.
Guest Millennium
I'm going to New York this summer (Queens). Is it worth it to make the trek out to Coney Island to ride the Cyclone/and visit this place?
The Interpreter
Absolutely. Just remember where you are...act like you fit in, and don't act like a tourist. New York City is not Mount Adams.
