Yesterday I was at PKI from 10 AM to after 11 PM - and I was one of the very last people to ride The Beast. As of today, PKI is CLOSED until next April.

Now what? In other words, what will YOU do between now and when PKI re-opens next April?

Sincerely,

Italian Chef

I'm pretty sure PKIU will keep everyone's "thirst" for PKI pretty much quenched this off-season. But everyone will have to wait to find out more as the off-season goes on. wink.gif

Well, I have my school play until late november, so that will keep me busy, but Dec will prolly be time for me to play RCT2 to pass the time away from coasters. Then preparations for the next season will begin again early 2004! I can't wait!

Well, when i`m not busy working at DAAP at UC learning how to become an architect, I will be relaxing. As the number 3 school for architecture in the country (behind Harvard and California Polytech), they want to keep that rating by giving us a ton of work. Wehn I have time I will be surfing the net and checking out the latest PKI news here and surfing Coasterbuzz as well. Right now, I`m looking forward to my winter break! Then I`ll look forward to PKI in April of 2004 *and then my last summer before I have to start co-oping).

Me? Have free time? You jest.

If I get free time, now I will be figuring out what to make into a web site, and after that, I will be jumping out of windows to get the adreline rush I need to hang me over another week, and then I will go skeet and trap shooting, which will eat up all my money that I made at the park, and hopefully by that time it will be March (when the employees get to see the beloved park again). Of course, the most I will be looking at is the basement of FX theatre, but hey, its PKI property.

I'm stuck in Indiana until Christmas. I really don't have anything to keep me busy till then. After Christmas its construction updates (since Jeff said most action would be after the holidays), planning trips to other parks in warm areas, then back to KI in late January early February for training classes and interviewing. Of course there is school once I'm back in Cincinnati, but its really just a side thing, that takes up most of my time, but its not as exciting.

Well I got three months where I have nothing to do other than the piles and piles of homework my wonderful profeesors are dishing out (Go Physics!), and find another job for the winter. In February I get to go back to PKI for interviews, training, and set up. I still have three days of work too cool.gif , got to do store inventories.

Well I'm already going into PKI withdrawl, but hopefully it will be a short off season which I doubt. Will mostly spend my time on the net talking and exchanging ideas rumors and all that other good stuff with you fellow PKI'ers.

Well basketball officiating will keep me busy until the end of February. I will find a job to keep me busy during the day. I guess with this free time I will work on some brainteasers and guess which area I will be in for next season and start preparing for a great season. On a side note, I'm still working at the park washing those wonderful trash cans and putting ride stuff away.

It's all about classes and finding a job elsewhere for the time being. With plenty of get togethers with my crew and AZ peeps in between. Nice thread ItalianChef! biggrin.gif

Thank you Sir!

I too will be at UC most of this winter. I am in the mechanical engineering program so I will be bogged down with a bunch of work too. Right now I am

co-oping which left my summer more open for PKI. I am planning on going down to Universals Islands of Adventures for my 3rd time this winter to calm my coaster crave. Its a great park to visit, but there are only a few rides there that are great. PKI is still better with rides! Well speaking of Co-oping I better get back to work.

Very cool topic. I'm not sure what to do. Last winter seemed incredibly long. Maybe Orlando in January Although I'll miss my second home, the off season doesn't seem to drag until after Christmas.

This season did go by wayyy to quickly, though.

Now that PKI is closed... and soccer season is over, I will be busy in two ways... 1) Working on super-neato (wow, I can't believe I said that) features on this very website (one of which will be debuting very soon, I'm trying to fix some errors in the program)... and 2) Partying... partying... and partying some more like there is no tomorrow now that I don't have to worry about soccer. biggrin.gif

Mine will be spent working.and then after the holidays its time to start the "Amusement Park Slush Fund" Try to put some money away I I'm hoping this year to do Kings Dominion as well as Kings Island.Hey maybe even a little Mini weekend without the kids and do Carowinds. Oh well its going to be a long winter but before you know it it will be "Coaster Season" again.

Well I'm still working at PKI. Im on the cleanup crew and like Cletus said, were cleaning those fun cans and sweeping up rides and all that good junk. Hopefully I will get a job in the office during the winter untill spring cleanup starts back and then the 04 season. So pretty much if I get this job in the office, its PKI year-round for me.

I have lived in Cincinnati all my life and have never been to the Art Museum. Been to union terminal many times but never the art Museum.

The Cincinnati Art Museum is FREE and one of the top art museums in the nation. Hence, I strongly recommend you visit it while PKI is closed. I'm probably heading there this week. Though it doesn't offer thrill rides like PKI, it does offer thrilling cultural artifacts similar to TR:TR.

Have a great day!
