I've noticed that, especially since last season, the trims are trimming a little bit more. Is the reason because that it's "broken in" and it has been letting the same speed through the whole time, but now that it's broken in, it goes faster? Or did they just turn them up?

I rode Beast one morning, it was extremely slow and the brake shed is the real culprit, even though they all suck.

Does anyone know also why FoF's MCBR stops you now? I remember when it was always deactivated a few years back.

^The Beast is normally slow in the morning, it takes a bit to get warmed up for the day.

Is that only with wooden coasters? I rode FoF a few minutes after and it seemed REALLY fast! On both coasters, there were only like 2 other people on the train I rode in.

Ok, so it probably seemed fast because the train was lighter.

Has anyone noticed the Diamondback trims?

Yes.

1. How do you know so much? You post all over here, with more than 25,000 posts! Did you used to work at KI or something?

2. Yes to the trims or the train being lighter?

What do you mean by maintenance taking note of them? Sorry I sound like such a noob but rollercoasters have been my passion for a while, and I have my ways of finding things out about the park. No, I'm not the Dippin' Dot's guy

I'm just saying the trims are there for a reason, the park knows they are there, enthusiasts know they are there...the two 'sides' will never agree as to why they are there or how they should be operated, and one side owns and operates the park and will do what it must and/or thinks best. This is one of many areas where it is what it is, and even if some enthusiast here woke up tomorrow owning the park, within mere days it would probably be the same as it is now. There are good, sound reasons why the coaster is operated the way it is...reasons that are very unlikely to change.

I am getting a kick out of Terpy in this thread. I have noticed that at night on The Beast it seems to be less trimmed, I know this is false but I guess the night ambiance gives it that feel. At least the drops aren't trimmed like Mean Streak's is, yet at least.

Don't you mean... Breaks? Cause if you ride the breaks on your car thats really bad for your engine.

I hate it when my car breaks...I always try to do all the preventative maintenance to keep that from happening....like lightly applying the brakes to keep from hitting things!

Terpy, who, some say, needs trimming...but he avoids, for the most part, close shaves, even when he is ahead...
