I'm heading up to Toronto next month and I will be visiting CW. If you know anything about this park, please tell me because all I know is it has Behemoth but that's about it lol. What are the must rides/ is it comparable to KI? Thank you!

It is an absolutely beautiful park. Please tell me you are not going on a Saturday! All the rides are well worth riding, except one...which you will ride anyway, probably...it's a terrible, terrible ride; quite painful and hideous:

Time Warp...

I haven't ridden THAT one, and won't be...but I have unfortunately ridden one just like it at Rye Playland. Never, ever again. Not at Elitch's...not at Wonderland....perhaps you will like it, though I doubt it.

We have posters here from Wonderland, and I am going to let them go into detail about the park. See also, Dave's wonderful trip report:

This one from Keysersoze:

Although the pictures no longer work, some great advice here:

Terp, who loves Wonderland, needs to get up there again, and hopes this helps

Thanks. It looks great. Yes I read it gets packed so I'm going on a Tuesday. I'm having a mini-coaster trip between CW and Hershey. Should be fun. And their suspended coaster looks good.

There is at least one poster here who would not and has not skipped a ride that currently has or ever had the name Tomb Raider associated with it...

Canada's Wonderland has some nice rides, I love their three wooden coasters of which I believe the big two are based off of the coaster at Coney Island. Also Dragon Fyre is unique as it's corkscrews go counter clockwise. The parks collection of flats is excellent and it's I-Street is the best. Don't miss Thunder Run located in wonder mountain. Finally, I agree with Terpy on Time Warp, that it and it's cousin in Rye and find them painful and horrendous.

Just watched a POV video of Time Warp (originally Tomb Raider: The Ride) on YouTube and was wondering: What on Earth made them think that that ride was a good ride to "theme" after Tomb Raider?! Yikes.

Sorry, I'm going to SFGAdv instead but this can help any others who are heading to the park.

On the original topic for anyone else going, go to Flight Deck and Time Warp (if you decide to ride it) first. Most everyone will be heading to Behemoth. I have also been told that BLSC can back up pretty badly too. We will be there this coming Sunday.

Although it's not my favorite, I happen to enjoy Time Warp. It doesn't put as much pressure on your ankles as does Firehawk. That aside, be sure to go on Sledgehammer if it's open! The only ride I would stray away from is Nightmare. That is the only ride I've ever felt "sick" after exiting. Before going on Riptide (their topspin ride), if you don't want to get wet, watch to see how high they are shooting the fountains. And I would be remissed not to mention my favorite ride there - the Mighty Canadian Minebuster! If you are there at night, be sure to go on it. Although nothing will compare to Beast at night (IMO) this one is pretty exciting when the sun goes down. You should have a great time. I'm hoping to get there sometime this season! smile.gif

Time Warp is nothing like Firehawk. In Time Warp, you basically ride inside a metal cage:

The transitions are rough and jerky. Most riders exclaim: "Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!"

The picture is from Elitch Gardens, where their similar ride no longer operates...it stands there...kind of like a large wooden structure at Kings Island stands at the latter park...

Here's one from Wonderland:

From Rye Playland, you can see the transitions:

This is one ride I will never, ever willingly ride again.

Yes they are a bit painful, but they are so interesting to look at. As Terpy said, they are NOTHING like Firehawk. Comparing the two would be like a baby being rocked in it's mothers arms and mosh pit.
