I'd rank them as follows:

Diamondback

Intimidator

Goliath (SFOG)

Behemoth

Nitro

Raging Bull

Apollo's Chariot

The one thing B&M figured out after they built Nitro is how to shape the curvature of the hills for maximum airtime. Nitro, Apollo's Chariot and Raging Bull all feature hills that slope much more gradually up the crest, break much closer to the top and then curve very gently back down. Goliath (both versions), Behemoth, DB and Intimidator all feature hills that climb much more steeply towards the crest, level off much sooner as it climbs to the top and then run more steeply back down. That quicker change of direction towards to and from the top of each hill is the reason why the airtime on the those newer B&M hypers is much more forceful and plentiful than those on the older models and therefore, at least IMO, provide much better rides.

I saw Paul Reuben there, being escorted around in a golf cart and opining (as he always does) that Raging Bull was the best coaster in the history of Earth, and probably all the rest of the planets (I later found out most are nearly certain he is a paid endorser...and apparently that is the case, as every coaster he rides is the best ever...).

This wouldn't be the same guy who does Pee-wee Herman, is it?

Just a quick question. Why is Diamondback any better than Behemoth? They both have the same kind of seats, and pretty much the same speed. Opinions?

Why are any of the B&M hypers better than any other B&M hypers? They're all about the same speed, height, airtime hills, a few helices, etc... It's in the intricacies of the ride. For example, no picture or statistic or video can represent Apollo's Chariot's grace vs. Nitro's raw force. The angle of the hills, the speed at the apex, the location, the foliage, the story, the unique elements (splashdowns, diving helices, diving turns) etc. These are the things that make the rides unique and create the impression that they do.

Apollo's Chariot is easily my favorite of the ones I've ridden. Others list it as their least favorite. And chances are, a group from Canada's Wonderland would rank Behemoth higher than Diamondback. There's no right or wrong answer, and thus there aren't any concrete "reasons" why one is better than another.

No....it is not. The name is not even the same.

The Herman character is played by Paul Reubens. The "I never met a coaster that isn't the best one I've been paid to say it is" character has no s on the end of his last name.

I'll be riding Apollo in October to compare it to DB and Nitro. Loved Nitro, but I don't like Diamondback much.
