fryler87
I can't seem to find the statistic anywhere...how much money did PKI shell out for SOB? I think I heard a figure under $10 million off of some website, but that can't be for the size of him. Does anybody know the correct figure? BoddaH1994
I've heard $15 as the initial cost as well, but apparently they've shelled out $10 million in renovations.

Beastfreak
Well I have no idea what the cost is I do know that the whole 1999-2000 Action Zone retheming/new rides was about a $50million project. I think SOB was supposed to be roughly half of that but it ended up costing more for many reasons. I should have the article about the original Action Zone announcement in a file (shoebox) somewhere, but hard telling where. I may find it online. mars1825
It was $15 million, but then after all the work they did, the end cost was $25 million.
SOB/Gun Steve-O
I just know that it costs more than I make.
AZ Kinda Guy
The final cost of SOB has never been released nor will it be for obvious reasons.

coasterrz
The 1999-2000 Action Zone expansion, was announced in the September 4, 1998 edition of the Cincinnati Enquirer. (I have a clipping of that article hanging in my room.) You might be able to find a copy of it on the Enquirer`s website, which is Cincinnati.com. It proclaims that the two year expansion cost $35 million. I`ve heard that estimates put Son of Beast at around $15-17 million. Although, obviously, they`ve spent quite a lot of money maintaining it and trying to smooth it out. As far as that lawsuit after the Son`s first season, I read somewhere where they settled out of court, but I`m not positive on that one.
