BeastForever
Hi everybody I just got back from my first Cedar Point trip today. I gotta say the park was much less crowded than I expected. It was a really fun trip. There were so many awesome rides. Since I don't really remember any specifics about the trip that has any interest I am just going to write my opinion on every ride we rode and rate each one out of 10... Magnum- Ouch! this ride HURT. For the most part it was a really fun ride. It had speed, airtime, and I liked the pretzel turn halfway through the ride. The tunnels were a great experience. The only reason it hurts is because those wretched lap bars go down way too far. If this ride didn't hurt I would give it 9/10. But instead I'm giving the ride a 6/10. Maverick- BEST RIDE THERE!!! This ride has everything, speed, airtime, 90 degree hill, awesome corckscrews, a launch tunnel, and some INSANE overbanked turns. I love the magnetic lift hill. It's so cool. I easily give Maverick a 10/10. Top Thrill Dragster- I think I had one of the biggest adrenaline rushes of my life waiting for the train to launch the first time I rode this. So much anticipation makes the ride so intense. And theres nothing better than flying down track at 120 mph and then rising to the sky at 420 feet. I also give this ride 10/10. Millenium Force- AWESOME ride especially in the back. Not as good as Maverick or Top Thrill Dragster but still awesome it still deserves a 9/10. Wicked Twister- We rode this ride 9:50 PM right before the park closed and it was literally a WALK-on. Me and my friend rode once in the back and once in the front and then from 10:00 to 10:10 they let everybody ride again and again. Even though the park was closed they were actually urging people to ride again because they wanted the ride to reach 9,000 riders for the day. The ride ops were very friendly. They were counting down from 5 for the ride to launch and they were making lots of jokes and stuff. Now the ride was really fun. One of my favorite rides at the park now. I give it a 9/10. Mantis- This was an OK ride. The first drop and the vertical loop was the only part that was exciting. The rest was just kinda what ever. The seats were really not comfortable at all. The line also seemed to move very slow. 7/10. Raptor-Good ride. 8/10 Mean Streak- It Hurt. Nuff' said. 4/10 SkyHawk- This is now my favorite type of flat ride. It's simply amazing. 9/10 Cedar Creek Mine Ride- This ride is the worst. Adventure Express is waaaaaaaaaay better. This ride only deserves a 3/10 Power Tower- Definitely one of the best launch tower rides I've ever been on. 8/10 Gemini- A great ride you can get on with little to no wait. 8/10 Here are some photos I took while I was there. There's not many... since I was having so much fun! lol

KI FANATIC 37
Ok! Sounds good! If you would of had time you should have ridden Disaster Transport. (Is it just me or does that sound confusing?) Its a mild but fun ride!
Guest Millennium
Great tr! I love Magnum even though it is painful. And Gemini is really underrated. I loved riding that CP last June.

PhantomTheater
You found Magnum to be more painful than Mantis? Also, no ride on the Kitty, Blue Streak or Cedar Downs? If so, you missed some of the best rides in the park.

KI FANATIC 37
Glad you had a good time! Maverick is incredible isn't it!?! Honestly, I LIKE Maverick but don't love it. I love the hill and launch and thats about it. Don't get me wrong it is a great ride but its really rough in my opinion...
The Interpreter
Did you ride it in the front seat?

It was the ride I was looking forward to in the park most and I got off fairly disappointed. I decided to give it a second try and that second ride was AMAZING. I think a lot of it has to do with learning when/how to move your body with the transitions. I was in the same seat (on the same train actually) for both rides and they were completely different. UnrealNightmare
The only reason I don't like Maverick is because of the restraint system. It pushes so hard into my thighs that I get bruises. I've tried to keep the bar up by scooting my hips forward but after the first drop it slams down hard into me.
Guest Millennium
It would be my number one coaster if it had better restraints. I wish every ride had the restraints DB has, lol.

Jasper
Glad you had a good time. Magnum can be a bit harsh, due to it's violent EJECTOR air time. As everyone else has said, Maverick is truly amazing. From just looking t it, it looks like a fun ride but nothing compared to the steel behemoths dominating the midway. Until you get on and it takes your for the ride of your life. stephatron
I like it when ride ops urge people to ride, even after the park is closed. I'm glad you had a good time! Oh, and Jasper, I LOVE your sig! That is one of my favorite movies
Pillsberry123
Glad you had fun! Millennium Force is my favorite ride there, and it seems that most people either like Maverick the best or Millennium the best. I fall in the Millennium camp I love the Wicked Twister ride op team! Certainly a crew that stands out from any other ride at any other park. Every trip to Cedar Point I look forward to the Twister crew almost as much as the ride. I also recommend checking out Wildcat and Blue Streak. Wildcat is actually a fun coaster and smoother than it looks. Blue Streak is just like The Racer, but much better imo. The Interpreter
Magnum has three bench trains. You can't go by the row number to see if you are not over a wheel. Rather, look at each car, and ride in the middle of a car if it is a wheel seat you wish to avoid...
BeastForever
Thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to ride in the middle of the car if I go next summer. Next summer we're thinking about either going to Six Flags Great Adventure or Cedar Point again. Any Advice?
KI FANATIC 37
Cedar Point!!!I would pick CP in a heartbeat, just my opinion.
The Interpreter
Even though he has already been to Cedar Point? Go back to somewhere you have been rather than going somewhere you haven't? I don't understand...and KI Fanatic37, have you even been to Great Adventure? Just Askin' (You DID notice he was the original poster and this was his first trip to Cedar Point, right? Better to re-ride TTD than go try Ka? Better to ride Mean Streak again than go try El Toro? And pass up on any chance on Nitro just to go back to Cedar Point? My head hurts)
BeastForever
Ya know what I think I won't go to CP again next summer. Just like Terpy said, why would you go some where you have been rather than going somewhere you haven't? CP is elimanated for next summer's amusement park visit. Here's a better question. Where should I go next summer? Six Flags Great Adventure or Kings Dominion.
The Interpreter
Yes. Honestly. Either choice will make you happy. Pluses for Kings Dominion: * Great coaster collection, and less expensive if you have a Platinum Pass from Cedar Fair. And very, very close to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, a park not to be missed. Pluses for Great Adventure: * A superior coaster collection, and I will let others here tell you about all the rides (you've seen the reports, and if you haven't they are easily found). Lodging nearby Great Adventure can be a challenge, to put it mildly. Dorney Park is one often considered on the way to or from Great Adventure from Ohio... BeastForever
I can't choose! But honestly, I think I'll choose Great Adventure. I mean, yeah I'll be missing out on I305 but I 've just been dying to ride El Toro, Nitro, and Kingda Ka. I know, Kingda Ka may look like TTD but i've heard many people say that KK and TTD give a totally different ride experience. And I wanna experience both.
