UnrealNightmare
Well we wanted to do another new park this week so we decided on Worlds of Fun. We did do Kings Island the night before we left though but I'm sure you guys have seen KI enough. Anyways on to the good stuff. We left Indy around 9:30A.M. Around 1:30P.M. we were driving through St. Louis and decided we had to stop at Jack in the box for lunch. Two tacos for .99 cents is a really good deal I must say. After Jack in the Box we headed on toward Kansas City. We arrived at the park around 5:45P.M.. It looked like it was going to storm and it did for about an hour. While we were waiting for the rides to open we headed over to Prowler. We waited outside its queue for about 30 min before they were given the all clear. Mitchell and I decided to wait for the front seat for our first ride while Nick chose to ride the back row. I really like this ride but I would like it a whole lot more if it didn't staple you every single ride. I rate it an 8 out of 10. After that we went to Mamba also another very good ride. I don't know why but I grayed out every single time in the helix. The head choppers were also amazing. Nick and Mitchell loved the ride but for me it didn't seem to provide as much airtime as it did for them. I still rate it a 7 out of 10 but deffinately not a top tne coaster. After that we decided to do Patriot. Unlike Mamba this ride is a top ten for me. At least for now... I rode on the inside of the car and my favorite part was the last hil before the brake run the little pop of air you get is amazing!! I already miss this coaster. On top of that I love its paint scheme. Now from there we went on a credit whoring spree lol. Timberwolf... 6/10 Boomerang... 4/10 I stubbed my toe in the station. I almost fell on my face. SpinningDragons... 5/10 It was kind of rough! The only thrill ride that we really go to go on was Detonator. I like it a lot we got to ride during the fireworks. :::thumbs up::: We got three rides on Prowler in the dark. Well I did they got two Nick was waiting for front car and I had just gotten off and he was alone so filled the empty seat. Prowler is better at night but not enough to push it past an 8. I like the out of control feeling you have in the dark and the transitions were really good. We also got two more rides on Patriot in the dark. After that it was time to go find somewhere to park the car and sleep. Yes we slept in the car. One word to describe it was hot!! But we wanted to save money and this was a good way to do it. If you can stand the heat like we did it's a good idea. Anyways the next morning we knew we could get into the park ten minutes early with our platinum passes so we took advantage of this and got 5 rides on Prowler with pretty much no wait at all. We could have gotten more but we wanted to get a little more time on the other coasters. Turns out there was a christian concert thats same day so the park becam packed very quick. We only got to ride Timberwolf and Mamba one more time. Then we rode Skyliner and the Worlds of Fun Railroad to take pictures before leaving. Worlds of Fun is a really neat park and if you are tinking about going you really should... I highly reccomend it! Anyways on to what you've been waiting for. Jack in the Box! Need I say more? This picture looks heavenly doesn't it? Since when did they let snakes in heaven? Prowa! Prowler's latest victims! Lift hill goodness! Oh hello train! The sign is what makes this ride photogenic See what I mean? I didn't get too many pictures of Mamba but don't worry I got a few Kind of blurry but I like it.. Little airtime hills. I like this store! Timberwolf Nice little wolfy... I really like Timberwolf's entrance theme.. Timberwolf's We wanted to ride but sadly it was MIA. Mitchell likes to sneak into my photos.. Amazing turnaround! One of my favorites! Thank you Skyliner for letting me take some really good photos! This hill provides some decent airtime. Yum! Hands up! Corkscrew My favorite part of the ride! Spinning dragons Kansas City looks good in between two coasters Whats that tree doing in my way! Oh thanks for moving tree. Or was it the train? Time to say goodbye! Oh I almost forgot this is what we encountered on our drive home... This turned into... This... If you would like till see the whole entire album please go to this link... DaveStroem
Nice PTR. Mamba and Steel Force for that matter could be so much more if it weren't for the mid-course biting so hard. When we rode it last year the bunny hills that I would imagine could be like Magnums, were little more then a kiddie coasters.
The Interpreter
When Mamba runs only one train and it is not raining, the midcourse is usually off...and it is a fantastic ride then...with a very long line! Steel Force was incredible back in the day... Please be careful sleeping in the car. It's not the safest thing...I used to do it, too, but times are different...pick a safe place and take care... UnrealNightmare
We are headed out to Six Flags St Louis today and we definitely wont be sleeping in the car tonight. We are staying at the Extended Stay America about 20 miles from the park.
Guest Millennium
Great PTR, what did you think of the park overall? I rode Steel Force last week and it was fun but nothing amazing. It was like a pain-free, less airtime, Magnum.
