Guest rcfreak339
Isn't Chang heatlined to be a stand-up and not a sit down? If so it would be almost impossible to make it a sit down.

Guest rcfreak339
I just suspect it is...good coasters need to be heartlined, although I don't know where on the rider it is heartlined. Still doesn't make sense to me.
Beast1979
If Chang became a sit down, the ride's heartline would become a lot higher on the rider. If the heartline was originally at the center of the chest, it would become at or above the head. Point is, if you converted the trains, the heartline would be different, and I'm not sure B&M would let that go.
bkroz
Not to mention, it would doubtlessly feel very stressful on the body... Ever ride Volcano? Those three heartline rolls feel so incredible, and so smooth. There's absolutely nothing strenuous about them. If the seats were lowered about twelve inches and suddenly the rider's entire body was lower, it might not feel so good..
Guest rcfreak339
Which brings back my main point. If you didn't like Chang as a stand-up you would HATE it as a sit down.

flightoffear1996
Doesn't look like much is left. I wonder how they pick what sections comes down over another.
The Interpreter
I can reliably report that as of Friday, there were no significant recent changes to the remaining structure of Great American Scream Machine at Great Adventure, but two bulldozers were operating beneath it... Terp, moved even more than he thought he would be...
The Interpreter
And now, the lift hill is coming down: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=6383401&id=60868222243&ref=fbx_album From our friends at http://www.gadvoutpost.com Sigh. Dbfan
It seems they may be planning on keeping that loop as a tribute to GASM. Everything is down now except for that one loop. (And a tiny part of the lift hill)
The Interpreter
There are other reasons that loop was left til last...some of which have to do with the park's operating schedule.
ahank
What do you think they are going to do with the loop? Do you think they will keep is as a memorial? Personally, I feel it could take up some valuable space to the supposed "flats" we are supposed to receive. This comment on Facebook sort of made me disappointed. "The only piece left of this memorable roller coaster is in the way of our supposed new rides!"
The Interpreter
It is reliably reported that only the one loop is left, with the lifthill but a memory.
bkroz
From Six Flags' Twitter: Fine. Y'all wanna know what's taking over Great American Scream Machine at Great Adventure?! Thursday seems like a fun announcement day...
Beast1979
Another "Day before the announcement announcement." Is it me, or are things CHANGing?
BavarianBeatle
Too bad I can't go there to "BOO!!!" the announcement tomorrow!
Vortex
Sorry the paper took the page down.
The Interpreter
It should be noted the loop is gone and the park has a green lantern to proceed with changEs.
