KICoasterGirl
Day Five July 6th: Six Flags New England After we left Six Flags Great Escape we headed to Connecticut for Six Flags New England! We got here around 8:30 and we made a beeline to Bizarro. We've arrived in Agawam! Six Flags New England's sign. New England's entrance with Scream in the background and Bizarro hiding behind trees. That just happened! Bizarro number one, Bizarro, Bizarro Bizarroooooo. We got two rides in including last train of the night. Only one train was running with the audio so we got one with and one without! The audio is good but can get annoying. This ride is awesome! There is a ton of ejector airtime and some really neat effects. The pentagon (superman logo) shaped misters had lights at night that would change colors and were really cool. For those with long hair make sure you put your hair up on this ride otherwise it is in your face and you can barely see anything! Day Six July 7th: Six Flags New England The M&M steps you walk over to get to the entrance. They have a show before the park opens. Here's Bugs Bunny! For those who miss Scooby! Dorthy from the Wiggles. My two favorite Loony Tunes characters: Porky and Petunia! We headed to Mind Eraser first, but it was down so we went to Batman: Dark Night where we had to get a locker. Dark Night is a very good floorless coaster. It was my mom's first floorless and she loved it.Later in the day she and I, when the others were riding Thunderbolt, went back and she rode by herself while I held the bag, she is now quite a ride warrior! Dark Knight's sign. The corkscrew part of Dark Knight. After riding Bilzzard River I was already drenched so I stood in the Looney Tunes fountain for a few minutes. Cyclone is a very good classic. You get ejector air on the first drop! More Cysclone! Wouldn't it be cool if they put posters with pictures of old Cedar Fair coasters on the panels of Racer's tunnels? We rode Pandemonium twice, this spinning mouse is the best of the Gerstlauer spinning coasters, in my opinion. The second Thunderbolt of the trip! Thunderbolt! Houdini's Great Escape is a really cool simulatorish ride, the real model name is a Vekoma Madhouse. You start out by entering a room that has some of Houdini's most famous tricks in it. This room is more air conditioned than Gobbler's Getaway! Anyways, you watch a pre-show and then move into this room and take seats on rows of benches (three rows on eitherside), a lap bar comes down and then you start to swing back and forth, and it feels like you're going upside down. The combo of swinging and a 360 degree rotating drum creates an illusion that you are going upside down, it is very cool! Right next to Houdini is Tomahawk! Tomahawk is the same ride as Revolution at Six Flags Great America. The ride is a frisbee ride where the riders face inwards and there is a floor. KICoasterGirl
The section of the park where Bizarro, Dark Knight and Catwoman's Whip are located The Joker's Wildcard is not the best of the wipeouts I have been on but the theme and paint job are cool! There's a Catwoman statue in the queue. I must mention the kiddie coaster as the ride name used to be Rolling Thunder! Now it's Great Chase! Now for some more Bizarro! See the big, purple box in the middle of the train? That's the audio, without it we wouldn't hear Bizarro #1 at the end! This hangs above the room with the lockers. The New England SkyWay. This has got to have the most unique seats! As you can see this ride was made by Von Roll LTD. When my dad and Katy took Adam back to the hotel since he was so tired, my mom and I went shopping for T-Shirts and I tried on a Mr. Six mask! This creepy Joker statue is in one of the gift shops Their Tea Cups spun really good! This area had some interesting theming! Ride Info Bizarro is amazing! Number 1 steel coaster in the world is very true! Cyclone has a lot of air. This coaster is in my dad's top ten wood. Pandemonium is one of the best spinning coasters I have been on. This coaster spins a bunch. Catwomen's Whip is a nice family coaster that has a huge train! Houdini is a great illusion. Batman: Dark Knight is a great floorless coaster. Lockers Be sure to bring a couple of dollars with you if you are bringing loose articles, some of the rides will not have drop boxes for loose articles so plan ahead! Two hour lockers are only a dollar here. We put our bag in one and came back within the two hours and it wouldn't open, so we had to wait 20 minutes for an attendant to come and open it. Also, make sure you come back within the two hours because security will come and take your stuff. Rides We Rode Bizarro Batman:Dark Knight Catwoman's Whip Cyclone Flashback Great Chase Mind Eraser Pandemonium Thunderbolt Houdini the Great Escape Tomahawk Blizzard River New England SkyWay Crime Wave The Tea Cups The Joker's Wildcard I love this shot! We used the two sets of exit passes, we got due to the lockers, before getting back in line for one last ride. Dad and I got the last train of the night in the front row! (thanks again to Mom and Katy who let us ride front row since they were dispatching one more train!) And that ends our day at Six Flags New England! What a day! CoastersRZ
Excellent trip report! Those are odd sky ride cars. And for the record, Von Roll is also the company that made Coney`s/Kings Island`s sky ride.

DaveStroem
I loved Bizarro. It had some of the most powerful ejector air of any coaster I have ridden. It is just not one hill or even two, it is on almost every hill. This is also the best paced coaster I have been on. It never lets up till your on the brake run. While I know that Cyclone was reprofiled and may have been even better, I was extremely impressed with it in its current format. We rode most of our laps in the back car which I highly recommend if you like airtime. At the top of the lift hill right before you crest, the train pull so hard that you are launched skyward out of your seat and into the lapbar. Six Flags New England is a distance from Ohio, but if you love coasters, it is more then worth the trip.
