pcc
I'm proud to announce that my 8 year old conquered The Beast (3 times!), Vortex (2 times), Racer, Flight Deck and BLSC. Her exact words after the ride stopped on Vortex "OMG that was AWESOME! Let's do it again!" Her next statement was "I hope I get really tall before next summer so I can ride Diamondback." *wipes a tear* I am so proud And one lucky KIC'er was there to witness the event unfolding hehehe. It's a fantastic day when your kiddo can ride the "big" rides with you.
IndyGuy4KI
I bet you are so proud! I can't wait for my son to be able to ride with me, he is right at 43" this year. May hit the 44 mark for next season! My son has marathoned Woodstock Express several times. He loves it. I could not be more proud either! TopThrill
Congrats!!! I remember my first ride on Vortex back in 1998, and Racer, I thought that was amazing. And when I was younger I was scared of Adventure Express and Beastie lol Didn't like the first drop on ether one of them, put I got over it and my fear of heights. Now I ride anything from rides like AE all the way up to Top Thrill Dragster!
thunderbeast1968
Hey, congrats, me too. My son just rode his first big coaster, the Big Dipper at Camden Park. Daddy was thrilled, he just smiled and ran over to his grandma telling her all about his first trip. My son took a little longer to get over his fear, he is almost 10 now. It took me about the same age to ride The Racers at KI.(My mom had to pay me)LOL. My trip home he said, when are we going to Kings Island to do some more coasters. I live three hours away so, it will probably be next year. This will give me a drive to keep me going thru the winter months, knowing I will take him in early June. Dieseltech20
Congrats, my 7 year old loves the rides, especially Beast and Racer. The 8 year old likes BLSC and Aerial Chase, while being scared of the others. Yet she told me yesterday while leaving the park she wants to ride Diamondback when she is tall enough. Go figure. Jasper
Congratulations! It is nice to hear a story when someone get's the true experience of Kings Island, seeing your family have fun and being there to witness it. I wish you luck on all of your future endeavors in your Ride Warrior'ness.
XGatorHead 8904
Congrats, pcc! Good to see you're raising her right! I'm looking forward to the day that GatorGirl can ride the big rides with me. I recently came up with the idea of when she reaches 48", having her ride the coasters in the order they appeared at the park: Racer, Beast, Vortex, Adventure Express, Flight Deck, BLSC. But now that I look at the order written out, it seems a little anticlimactic. I think Racer should remain first, and maybe I'll push Beast and Vortex a little further back in the lineup. pcc
Do like I did. Start out with Woodstock Express, then Adventure Express, Racer, Beast, Vortex and BLSC
