Interesting to see how this turns out. I don't rember this park coming to visit Delirium. There was one park in particular and the owner liked the ride very much! What park was that? Well that's just my little secret. tongue.gif

You knew this was going to happen eventually. I'm sure Huss was not planning on keeping it exclusive to PKI. They just don't offer enough rides to theme parks to make something exclusive to that park for very long.

I can't say I'm surprised. Delirium ran pretty much flawlessly all season long.

Did it not also generate a lot of excitement? As soon as I saw the concept art for Delirium, I was peeing my pants waiting to go to the park to see our monster. I'm not at all surprised that we won't be the only park in the world with a Huss Giant Frisbee. Delirium rocks! And the stats can prove it!

I'm not a big fan. It discriminates against us bigger than average people! 35 percent of men in the USA are over 6'3. Why would they make a ride that the limit is 6'4??? Hmmmm....

The ride looks great and I believe everyone that it is an awesome experience, but i definitly think paramount could do more to create more space on its rides like other parks. (e.g. Universal, Disney, and most 6 flags parks!)

well i think this is a good thing. PKI got first dibs on HUSS's new stuff and now parks are dying to get in on the action after seeing the success of Delirium. I hope my home park gets one because it was quite a rush. biggrin.gif

Tiny,

Paramount has nothing to do with the maximum height requirement on Delirium. Blame that one on Huss.

Makes you wonder why no ones bought another Giant Topspin, oh ya because they are only up half the time. A Giant Frisbee is a good choice for any park because they have great uptime and have all the excitement of a coaster. Glad we got our first.

In defense of the Giant Top Spin, PKI programs the actual ride to do alot so it's really not fair to knock their uptime. Let a Giant Top Spin run one of it's regular programs and I'm sure it would be another story.

PKI may be addressing some of the downtime issues this off season with TR:TR. Obviously, a larger ride of a proven concept will have some problems just from the fact that the machinery and weight is larger. As Jeff Siebert has hinted at before, TR:TR may in fact be receiving a new program this year, which most likely will not only increase uptime, but allow the park to operate the ride with full loads. It is my understanding that towards the end of last season (and from numerous cycles on the ride last season) that they were not loading the gondola to capacity in order to keep the weight under a certain amount to keep the ride from breaking down so often.
