The Interpreter
...The centerpiece attraction is a 1939 carousel, purchased by the museum in 1991 without any animals. Currently, the carousel is populated by 30 rideable creatures, some on loan to the museum and others created by the organization's volunteer carvers. Among the favorites: a sea monster, ostrich, frog and pig (dubbed Wilbur, with a carefully hidden Charlotte in its ear).... See what's round at the Merry Go Round Museum in Sandusky! http://www.cleveland...usky_for_t.html http://www.merrygoroundmuseum.org/ 301 Jackson Street in Sandusky....a hidden and too often unknown treasure in Sandusky! CedarPointer
I did *not* know that was there! I will most definitely have to make a visit there next time I'm in Sandusky.
PhantomTheater
I have been there several times. The Merry go Round Museum is a wonderful place with a lovely machine (hands down the best traditional one in Erie County).
