Kwp106
Hello everyone! I'm planning on going to the park on Opening day! This will be my first ever visit to Paramount's King Island, so I'm hopeing my visit will be FUN!! Anyhow I was wondering if there is anybody that can be of any help to me, such as tips what rides to hit up first, ect... I was also curious if there is any discounts I can find too for admission. Thank you everyone!
DegenRider
Come to PKIU day (I have to finalise plans on that). As for discounts I wouldn't count on it for opening day check AAA and stuff. I reccomend SOB if its ready and the flyers! I will be holding snapping classes.
PKIDelirium
I plan on taking a snapping class. I suck at that!
Tanner
I reccomend SOB If it is a colder day I would follow that advice as my best ride ever came on Opening Day 2 years ago and it was as smooth as glass. Every ride before, and after have been hell and have left bruises on my body. I'm 6'5" so it may not even affect you, but it's a pretty intense ride. I myself would go hit FOF first as it is one of the most popular attractions in the park. From there hit Vortex and Beast. I'd start near the back because everyone rushes to Action Zone. drewbari
Start off doing the park, going clockwise.

Anyhow I was wondering if there is anybody that can be of any help to me, such as tips what rides to hit up first, ect... Tip: Don't go on opening day. It will be packed. If you can wait till a couple of weeks of the season go by, then do so. If you can't... then good luck. I hope your definition of a good time is not riding every single ride. bignathan4403
^ Start in the back of the park (Flight of Fear, Vortex, The Beast, Tomb Raider, and The Racers) Make your way to the front of the park later. If it is hot be sure to ask for your free water! (kidding)
SixFlagsMasta
i usually start in the back of the park at beast and tr:tr and then work my way up.. the line length all depends on when you go. i've never been on opening day (this year going on second operating day) so i couldnt tell you must about the lines there. only suggestion i'd give is not to be intimidated by what looks like a long line. some of these rides lines move pretty fast. top gun takes forever to get on so only try that if the line is REALLY short. um..have fun
PKIDelirium
crowded? nope. I went opening day last season and it was great!
SixFlagsMasta
yea. i don't know how much they advertise when opening day is over there...but i'm sure a lot of people don't know the park is open that weekend. though probably the park will be kinda empty seeing as it opens on a friday. i hope it's atleast SOMEWHAT uncrowded on saturday (april 10) for my visit. Tanner
Also since that Sunday is Easter the park won't be crowded then more than likely as last year it was deserted as far as I know. That would probably be the best day to go to the park, unless of course you're religous as I am not. I'll probably be there Friday and Sunday. Kwp106
Thank you everyone! Yeah, I don't think the park should be too busy on opening day. What rides do you think won't be ready in time for opening day? Thanks again!

AZ Kinda Guy
PKI is pretty good about having all rides ready by opening day. However, there will be some glitches as the rides awake from their winter hibernation. Also, the lines won't be moving as fast as usual due to the training of the new ride ops...Hope this helps! stephenmayes
Go in this order. It is the order that I do sometimes. This is exactly what everyone else has said..."start in the back of the park" but I will give you a pretty good run down. 1. Tomb Raider: The Ride- Line can get extremly long! Get it done early 2. The Beast- One of the 3-4 times you should ride this ride.Line is never too long due to High Capacity. 3. The Vortex- Line never gets too long. 4. FOF- Fun ride! Exilarating Experience, but line too can get long if you wait to ride. 5. The Racers 6.Adventure Express After this I would eat and catch some shows because The Action Zone will be extremly crowded. Lines will be 1.5 hours plus and they get shorter as the day goes on. Steve

stephenmayes
Yeah, I don't think the park should be too busy on opening day. Ha, you might be in for a surprise. Haha I think it all depends on whether the weather is like it was today, or like it was last weekend. Steve
