coasterrz
PGA just opened this past weekend in sunny California. They are the first of the Paramount Parks to have the Nickelodeon Parade. From the pictures here, the parade looks like it will be a big hit. The parade will be at PKI from mid-July to mid-August. According to a post by Shaggy (a.k.a. John Keeter) in a thread over on Ultimate Roller Coaster, the parade will run twice a day at PKI. FYI, it is my understanding that the parade will occurr twice a day at PKI. The first parade will run from The Beast plaza area through Rivertown, into HB and end in the Nick area. The later parade will reverse it's course. Looks like the parade will be a very exciting addition to witness at PKI this season. From the looks of it, they have done a good job with this parade. Now I wonder if this is a huge success, which I believe it will be, if it will return next season at all the parks permanentaly throughout the summer months or if they will keep the rotation. teenageninja
Ehhh, the Nickelodeon Parade will be pretty popular, but Paramount won't want to spin the thousands of dollars to operate it at every park every day in the summer, I see a rotation coming, with KI getting there's in their peak months. coasterrz
True, that would make the most sense since PKI is Paramount`s flagship park.
Shman
Ahhhh....you beat me to it.....I was just about to post that exact same update. Oh well...I am very pleased at how the parade looks, those flots are almost dead on the prelim drawings that I have. This should be a great addition to the park. Also that website has some pictures of another special event that PKI will be hosting later in the season. here

Wow... did someone not read all the info about the parade before? That the parade will be rotating to all parks, and will be at PKI from mid-July to mid-August. SML828
Shman - I think the Hope Exhibit looks pretty cool...I'm assuming that's what you were referring to... Do you know if that will be at PT or somewhere else? Maybe bring out the big white bubble (a.k.a. Titanic Tent)! Anyone know if we're getting some of the little extras where theming is concerned, like the palm trees or whatever for the Hollywood L&F (look 'n feel)? TowerGuy
Where have people heard that PKI is getting the Wax Meuseum exhibit?
Shman
SML.....everything that we know as of this weekend says that the Hope exhibit will be in PT before the daily Magic of The Movies Show. Basically it will be set up on the stage and will be moved off for the regular shows.....to bad not the white bubble.....But remember how hot that thing was (porbably not good for a wax exhibit). Tower Guy......this is another touring special event that is going through the Paramount Parks, we will have it over the Sept. 11th time period, basically between the end of full-season and the start of Fearfest. I thought that it had already been announced to the public since Jeff Siebert has been talking about it at some training sessions.....if not Ooopps on my part. teenageninja
Hmmm if anyone looked at the rest of the park pictures it got a lot of retheming, I think PKI will get something along those lines next year. Their park just looks so freshly painted.
coasterrz
I add never heard about the Hope exhibit before I visited the PGA website and saw the pictures of it. I would like to know what people`s reactions to the Paramount Magic of the Movies show is. Does anyone know if it is excellent, good, so-so, or bad? stephenmayes
I am happy to see that Paramount didn't cheap out on us. The parade looks to have been very well done! Im looking forward to seeing it in the coming months! Steve
Return_of_Yogi
Wow the Nick Parade looks really awsome...looks like that they got a new Character ..Susie from the Rugrats Actaully, No. Susie and Oswald are not new to the Paramount Parks Just touring costumes with the parade. I believe all Paramount Parks now have the following Character Line-Up Scooby Doo Norville "Shaggy" Rogers Velma Dinkley Spongebob Squarepants Patrick Star Dora The Explorer and Boots Tommy Pickles Chuckie Finster Angelica Pickles Cosmo and Wanda Parent Little Bill Hey Arnold Donnie Thornberry Eliza Thornberry Blue

Return_of_Yogi
Well it sure is possible to see those two, but my own predictions speak otherwise I think we shall see Bob the Builder Timmy Possibly the All Grown Up Versions of the Rugrats
Scooby_Doo
Yeah All Grown up is Very Popular right now..as for Bob The Builder and Timmy i think that would be great my Nephew and kids would love to see them!
keithandmissy
That character line-up is incorrect. The different parks have different lineups. For instance, Canada's Wonderland has a press release saying that the Flintstones and Yogi & Boo-Boo will be at their meet & greet show this year. This may very well be just for that show but as I recall they had many more Hanna-Barbera characters up there than we did over the past year or two at PKI. Remember, not all parks got Nick Central right away. (PCW just got theirs last year). They are still phasing in the Nick characters.
Scooby_Doo
Yeah PCW,PC,PKD,PGA still have the HB Characters PKI is the only Paramount park that doesnt carry HB characters well we still have Scooby Doo thank God! But Scooby is VERY popular among kids & Adults today but scooby has always been popular. Iam sure the Nick Parade will Get Kids Happy and Looks like Paramount didnt go cheap on the parade itself cant wait to see the parade when it comes to the park in July.
