Titan
Cedar Point announced that Guiness World Record Day will take place on Sunday July 31st. The park is trying to break the record for most bouncing beach balls (yes it sounds wrong) in the air. They are also trying to break the record for the most people putting on sunscreen at one time record. You can find more information at the link below. http://www.cedarpoin...it/guinness.cfm
House
I will be there the 28th through the 30th, just going to miss this by a day.
BoddaH1994
I think the Guiness Book of World Records is a very interesting read, but I think some of this stuff has gone too far. When everyone starts doing it, the publicity stunt fizzles out...
The Interpreter
Why do I have this vision of a long line of cows on one side, a long line of park patrons on the other, and the sonorous voice of a David Mandt wannabe intoning with mock ironic pomposity: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, boys and girls, Welcome to Valleyfair as we attempt to break the Guiness World Record for most participants in a cow kissing! Only to have the record attempt rejected. You see, one of the cows turned out to be a bull. And as if that were not bad enough, there was the guest from Morrow, Ohio who was, unfortunately, wearing a Reds shirt. In the words of El Toro... Ole ole! IslandAddict
And the previous records for each of these: ZERO!

So......what happens if one of those balls at CP turns out not to be a "regulation" beach ball - whatever that is - and the whiole stunt is null and void? Gues it's good for business (hee, hee)
The Interpreter
Obviously Cedar Point and/or Guiness will have a ball examiner inspect all the balls at Cedar Point prior to their inflation. It has something to do with integrity!
