16gwoods Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 Does any one like the Scrambler my brother loves it and wanted to know. Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Drop Tower. The only ride that still gets me kinda nervous. I like the train and Eiffel Tower for afternoon naps. Very peaceful. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Chaos at Cedar Point well it used to be there. I wish they would build a gaint one of those Quote
The Interpreter Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Chaos at Cedar Point well it used to be there. I wish they would build a gaint one of those Not a Chance. Terp, ever...uh....helpful. Quote
PhantomTheater Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 MiAd ended the popularity of Chaos installations. After a roll, many Chaos was removed, even CP tried to sell theirs with no luck. Quote
Rustbucket Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Drop Tower.... 1000 rides this year for me. BTW, WE NEED FLYING EAGLE BACK! Quote
trint2004 Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 this was easy for me, I love the old time type of flats, so monster all the way, shake rattle and roll is a close second. I find Delirium to be a very calm ride, In fact i think it could rock me to sleep, so many of the new flats get repetitive, but with the monster its a different ride everything you ride it, I wish Kings Island has some of my other favs, like the zipper, and chaos (yes i know these are becoming harder and harder to find) kinda sad. Oh and breakdance is another I wish Kings Island had one, I also like flats that look amazing while running, like they are a piece of art. Quote
kblanken Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 The Zephyr has been my favorite since the flying scooters left. I rode Xcalibur at 6F St Louis, and that might also be a favorite, but it is really intense. Quote
ohiocolts Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Heres the list of my top 5. 1. Drop Tower 2. The Crypt 3. WindSeeker 4. Delirium 5. Viking Fury Quote
KIfan73 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Viking Fury, for lots of reasons, not the least of which is its fantastic setting (can you imagine what a current installation of that ride would look like? Ugh.) Quote
The Interpreter Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 At Cedar Fair or Six Flags? Sadly, yes. At Busch Gardens? Yes, I can. And it would be delightful. This may be a thing the new Disney alum may change. One can hope. Quote
KIfan73 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Well, this one is certainly hoping! There's a certain current popular thread on here that is doing a great job of showcasing a declining level of attention to detail in the park (having said that, I still maintain that Kings Island is a great looking park in its current form). 16gwoods Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 Looks like almost every flat ride is liked by someone on here but the Scrambler and K.I.M.V. R.R. Quote
KIfan73 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I gotta ride scrambler sometime, I have never been on it. I don't think anybody considers the train a flat ride. Quote
16gwoods Posted December 1, 2011 Author Posted December 1, 2011 ^ I didn't think it was but I put it... as for the scrambler it is fun even for me (i hate getting dizzy and get dizzy very easily). Quote
thekidd33 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Looks like almost every flat ride is liked by someone on here but the Scrambler and K.I.M.V. R.R. I used to LOVE the scrambler when I was little. I had an intense fear of heights (and therefore roller coasters) and there were only a few rides I would ride on our yearly trips to KI. As I have gotten older I can no longer do the spinning rides at KI as they make me terribly nauseous, but I fondly remember dragging my dad onto the scrambler 5 or six times a trip. Quote
fan of beast Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 What was the name of the ride that you stood against the wall as it spun and the floor would drop. i always liked that as a kid. Quote
rcs Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I voted for Viking Fury, but would have went with Surf Dog if it had been on the list. Or is it not considered a flat? Quote
PhantomTheater Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 What was the name of the ride that you stood against the wall as it spun and the floor would drop. i always liked that as a kid. Rotor, An awesome ride they are. To bad there are only a few left. Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 ^ I need to get to Cedar Point some time. The flats at CP are very good! Power Tower, MaXair, Calypso, Matterhorn, Ocean Motion, WindSeeker, Giant Wheel, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some. CP has won those Golden Ticket Awards for a reason. Good point! And they certainly didn't win them because of that incredibly accurate voting process or the pages of advertisements. 1 Quote
jcgoble3 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I voted for Viking Fury, but would have went with Surf Dog if it had been on the list. Or is it not considered a flat? KI classifies Surf Dog as a coaster. Others disagree. See: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23549 Quote
ohiocolts Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I classifie Surf Dog as a coaster to, because it is not just in 1 place, has a track, and moves. Also, I think KIMVR is not a flat, because it has a track. Quote
PhantomTheater Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 ^By your definition, the helicopters around Planet Snoopy are coasters. 1 Quote
