I was planning on going to HW on closing day, but I was already booked for something else and had to move it to Saturday. This was my first real trip to HW this season. (I attended the Bert filming for BTC.) Our son Korbin was excited about going, but was not looking forward to the 3 hr drive.

We got there right as the park was opening and were very excited about parking very close to the entrance. The kids were very excited and of course the first stop was Reindeer Ranch!

The kids getting ready for the cycle to start!

I got a ride in on Raven and I had a really good ride. Waited about 3 cycles to get on. On the way to meet up with Kim and the kids I got a ride on Legend which was walk on. They were ringing the bell for every train dispatch which was a nice touch!

We started making our way towards Thanksgiving for lunch at Plymouth Rock Cafe. After lunch Kim and Korbin got a ride in on Turkey Whirl. No weak stomachs in our family! I rode Voyage and found out how rough the bottom of the first 2 drops were. I hope they are able to get that resolved this winter!

We made our way towards Holidog's Funtown. Korbin and I rode Howler which he loved. I thought is was pretty good for a kids coaster! We rode Freedom Train. They told us that Freedom Train is the parks only original ride left in the park. Found that interesting.

We all rode Star Spangled Carousel, Kaylee is excited!

Someone is starting to get grumpy from not having a nap. No not me, Kaylee! : )

Korbin and I took our first and last ever ride on Paul Revere's Midnight Ride. I hope to post a small video later in this thread!

Kaylee was tired of being held and sitting so she waited out her first queue as we all waited for Lewis and Clark! (Evidence of her snacking is on her face!)

Kim and Korbin rode Scarecrow Scrambler and then I rode Legend and Raven again. We stopped in at Reindeer Ranch before the park closed for Korbin to get a few more rides in. He is getting better at how the bumper boats are to work!

After getting 2 rides in on Raven, 2 on Legend, and 1 on Voyage, my rankings for HW coasters have totally changed.

It was

Voyage

Legend

Raven

after my visit it is now the opposite

Raven

Legend

Voyage

Looking forward to a trip to HW in 2012!

Our son Korbin was excited about going, but was not looking forward to the 3 hr drive.

Are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet....

(I can relate. )

It looks like everyone had a great time!

I am curious...on the bumper boats, was it that warm there that it wasn't a problem getting wet?

He wanted to go to KI because he did not want to wait yet another hr longer to go to another park that he was not familiar with. He had his movie player with him so he was ok for the ride.

At that time of the day it was about 80, so yes plenty warm, It did start off a little cool!
