PkiJake13
I just read on pkicentrel that FoF's first train is sitting behing the Timber Wolf. Is this true, and if it is why? Thanks, Jake
PKI Homey
Maybe it was in need of rehab? I know that they usually do that over the winter, but who knows? Not saying that they will rehab it behind Timberwolf, it may be that it will be moved later. Also, how many trains are there all together? Some coasters have more trains than necessary. It could be that they rotated this one out.
Dane
It's sitting there because there have been new trains to come and replace it. It is just sitting there because it is out of the way. Plus it seems like all that area back there is a graveyard for old objects ok PKI past. You can also read on that page that the animal cages are sitting back there from the Wild Animal Safari. But you need a extremly well trained eye to see them.
AZ Kinda Guy
The ride was supposed to run with the three trains but for one reason or another, it only runs with two so they parted the third train out.
coasterrz
Originally, I believe it was supposed to run 4 trains. But from what i understand, they never actually had four trains on the track operating at one time. Back when they had OTSRs I believe the park ran three trains. This was back when the midcourse brake was on. When the park retrofitted the trains, they only retrofitted two, since they achieve significant capacity with two. One thing I have always wandered is why the clones of FoF at Six Flags parks run 6 cars a train (24 people) as oppossed to the 5 at PKI and PKD (20 people). Incidentally, I believe there are some shells from a FoF train over in the graveyard beside Timberwolf, behind the queue for Drop Zone.
Dane
Yea, it was just designed for four. They only fixed up the two because hey! How many times have you accually had to stand in there waitng for a train? Four trains would just be more work on the computer. So hey, lets throw it behind Timberwolf! I also love how you read it over at PKIC and asked about it over here. PKI Homey
No, it was just designed for 3. They only fixed up the two because hey! How many times have you accually had to stand in there waitng for a train? Not sure what you mean. Have I had to wait a long time once I'm in the station or just in general? I've waited a long time in either situation. Not exactly a people pusher like Vortex.
teenageninja
Yea, the capacity is poor, but they leave the 3rd train off so they can leave the midcourse brakes off. Even if they did have 3, capacity would not be much higher, due to stacking.

Not exactly a people pusher like Vortex. he's tqalking about once a train is dispatched how long does it take for the second train to get in the station? there's like no wait at all for it so having 3 trains would be pointless. the capacity would be the same

AZ Kinda Guy
Whoever said FoF can handle four trains was correct. It is capable of safely runnig four trains. Correct me if I'm wrong,
bignathan4403
On the BAFFD(s) they should have all four running. The line would move pretty smoothly.
teenageninja
I doubt it would be running smoothly, trains would be stacked, especially with the seatbelts, you could never imagine how much trouble people have with those **** things.
Maestro
Whoever said FoF can handle four trains was correct. It is capable of safely runnig four trains. Correct me if I'm wrong, You are correct, technically it could run 4 trains. FOF has 5 blocks (loading station, waiting brakes, unloading station, ready brakes, and midcourse brakes). However, unless the crew could get the other 3 trains moved around in about 20 seconds or so, freeing up the ready brakes, the 4th train would always have to stop and wait in the midcourse brakes. With the lap bars and the slower loading process (as well as the faster cycle time due to only lightly using the midcourse brakes), they can achieve the same amount of riders with 2 trains as they can with 3 trains. In most cases, the second train is already unloaded now before the next train is ready to launch. Having a third train would just mean you have two empty trains waiting to be loaded instead of one. PKI Homey
Yeah, the trains cycle fairly fast, but it is still a good wait once you are in the station. The only advantage is less braking, which is cool with me.
dxrunner
if the coaster is just sitting behind timberwolf being junked why keep it and not just get rid of it...or better yet... Hey i know everything that isnt used anymore from the rides like trains or costumes from nick studio lets make a muesum for them so people can really get to know the true history of some of their favorite rides...FOF 1st train started running on blah blah blah nad stopped on blah blah blah... The dead SOB is the Son of Beast that didnt make it day of death blah blah blah ( thats why SOB only has 2 trains now i think...i thought it used to have 3 but i could be wrong...i normally am) just an idea that i thought i would throw out there...id visit it, if it were ever set up
