The Interpreter Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 CBS radio just reported FUN units had more than 13 times the usual volume today, with more than 2.7 million units changing hands! http://m.cbsnews.com/storysynopsis.rbml?pageType=general&catid=57438745&feed_id=999&videofeed=999 Quote
jzarley Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Interesting...rumors of a buyout? It's not like there's a lot of organic growth in this industry to spur such activity. If so, I wonder by whom? Quote
KI-ORIG-EMP Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Maybe that Facebook Billionaire guy has all that new dollars burning a hole in his pocket. Might be one of their spending spree purchases. Quote

Leland Wykoff Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Insiders continue to make purchases of Cedar Fair units as well: http://www.istockanalyst.com/article/viewsecfiling/articleid/5853708 Perhaps an institutional unit-holder is re-balancing a portfolio. Could be an institutional holder is reducing a position or taking profits. I doubt such volume is driven by sales by retail investors. Quote
KI-ORIG-EMP Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 It seems Facebook is not worth as much as the big wigs at FB thought it was worth. anybody remember when the dot.com bubble burst? Quote
KIfan1980 Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 But FB (or the initial investors) got all the money from selling those shares and only those who bought in the IPO are losing money. Quote
