khaoskat
Have any of you guys used your rewards to get the tickets for your friends? I have two friends who want to go, and want to use them, but how far in advance can I purchase the tickets for them? Also, are the tickets good during Haunt in case they are not able to take advantage of them before the end of summer? I know I can e-mail them, but last time I sent an e-mail asking questions I never got a response from them, hence the reason I thought I would ask here. Thanks
TombRaiderFTW
I've used the $10 bring-a-friend reward twice, though it was on two separate occasions. You actually don't purchase them in advance at all--you present the coupons at the ticket booth at the front gate and purchase the tickets there. (And don't forget to bring ID with you if you're using a credit or debit card--they will require it at the ticket booth.) As far as their validity during Haunt goes, I'm honestly not sure. You should probably call the park. I want to believe they'd be valid then, too, based on the fact that the coupon says it's good during the 2012 season, but I'd still call. Hope this helps. khaoskat
Thanks, Do I have to be there when they are redeemed or can I just give them to my friend (coupons/vouchers that is) to use.
PKIVortex
Since they are bring a friend tickets, I would say that the season pass holder who earned them via fun perks should have to be present.
TombRaiderFTW
They've never so much as identified me when my friends have used mine, but just to be safe, I'd say you should try to be there. However, that's something else you might ask the park if you call.
jcgoble3
It's worth noting that it's a "BRING-a-friend" ticket, not a "SEND-a-friend" ticket. I would therefore assume that the passholder must be present at purchase, as was the case during the late-August bring-a-friend promotion last year.
KI-ORIG-EMP
In the past when the park had the Bring-A-Friend day, the season pass had to be scanned first, then the friend ticket was printed. It is to prevent the pass holder from bringing more than the one friend they were allowed. Look at the pack of the coupon for any and all legal disclaimers and do call the park with any questions or show up with your friend. Like said, it is bring a friend, not send a friend. CedarPointer
The FUN Perks bring a friend ticket will work without the passholder being there, but it's helpful for the passholder to be there in case there's an issue with the voucher. khaoskat
Thanks, I think they were wanting to go while we were planning on being at Cedar Point, that is why I was asking if we needed to be there.
diamondhawk
For the half off Fast Lane perk, is it half off one person or half off your entire purchase? I might use the perk tomorrow. P.S.- I didn't mean to change the topic, but i thought all of khaoskat's questions were answered.
jcgoble3
From the coupon: "Save 50% off the regular price of one Fast Lane Pass." (emphasis added)
diamondhawk
Thanks. I'm still debating using it right now. I might wait for halloween to use it.
PKIVortex
You can also earn a Free Fast Lane Pass at level 4.
CedarPointer
Also, if you're buying other Fast Lane wristbands, the discounted one doesn't count toward the $5 off for each additional one, since it's already discounted.
jcgoble3
Also, if you're buying other Fast Lane wristbands, the discounted one doesn't count toward the $5 off for each additional one, since it's already discounted. As we found out yesterday on KIC Day. The "50% off" coupons actually rang up at a flat $25, which was a little more than 50% off the individual price of $60. Gabe
and if ever there was a day where they came in handy it was saturday. the park was very busy and most of the big rides had hour plus waits by mid morning if not longer. The FL worked out great and I was able to get everything in and then some by the time I left about 6.
jcgoble3
Speaking of which, Gabe, we lost you before we got started. I think you said you were going to the bathroom right after we bought FL, and we waited almost half an hour and couldn't find you, so we moved on. I have your credit card slip from the FL purchase; PM me your address if you want me to mail it to you.
