violakat03
Dang, too bad I'm not a student any more!
Oldiesmann
It's for "Ohio State alumni and their guests" according to the flier. However, the flier also gives away the discount code, so I'm not sure how they verify if you're an alumnus/student.
Jr for Birdy
The only thing it asked for was the year you graduated during purchase.Looks to me like anybody could go if they wanted.
Jr for Birdy
I just called CP,and I asked if I need to bring an alumni ID or anything and they said no,so this pretty much tells me anybody can go if they want.
TTD-120-420
I'll be there media day, Ohio State day, and opening day if anybody wants to get weird with coasterfanatic2012 and me.
violakat03
Student tickets are cheaper than alumni tickets. I have my student ID still but I haven't been a student for almost a year now.
Jr for Birdy
I would call and ask,the gentleman I spoke to didnt seem like it mattered. They say everyones invited and alumni and their guests, nothing is specific. If you can purchase a ticket online as a student, there is no way their not going to let you in. violakat03
According to the flyer, student tickets are only available at the Ohio Union and you have to show a current ID (meaning they'll probably swipe it to verify you're currently registered) in order to purchase them. The "alumni" tickets are available for anyone and those are the ones you can purchase online. The current student tickets are $10 cheaper.
TTD-120-420
As far as I know, students can buy as many as they want for friends/family/random people who ask.
Hendrick
As far as I know, students can buy as many as they want for friends/family/random people who ask.I read limit 2. In the email they sent to students:$25 student tickets are also available (2 tickets/student with valid Buck ID) via Dtix at the Ohio Union (while supplies last). TTD-120-420
Yeah, I just read that email. The first email said bring your friends, so I assumed more than one extra person.
Jr for Birdy
OK,sorry about that, those were jr/sr passes I seen for $25.00 online not student tickets. I might have to stay the night and get in sat!
Oldiesmann
It will be interesting to see how well this works. The fact that they don't seem to be restricting who can claim themselves as "alumni" makes me think this is a recipe for disaster.
Jr for Birdy
There not really advertising the event to the public in general,so I think it will be busy, but not to bad. They still have plenty of rooms left when I called Breakers.
PhantomTheater
They sent out the info in their standard email newsletter, so many people will know about it.
TTD-120-420
How many people do you really think say to themselves, "Hey, I'm not in anyway associated with Ohio State, but I'm gonna check to see if they actually check?" I doubt many people do that. Jr, I'm taking it you are gonna be there? Wanna meet up?
Jr for Birdy
Sure,Im not 100% sure yet because of my wifes job and babysitter situation, but hopefully it all works out! I had some friends call me yesterday saying that their going to stay the weekend,so I really hope to make it. I have a bad habit of making plans before discussing things with the lady! Im going to do my best to make it,I really want to ride Gatekeeper,my first wing coaster!
