I'm planning on taking my first Kings Island trip tomorrow for the first time in at least 5 years. Are the fast passes worth it on a saturday? My work schedule honestly prevents me from coming on a weekday or I would be all over it! Also is dinos alive worth it for a couple of college kids? Just weighing options since im predicting high crowds... even though weather is going to be on the temperamental side. Went to Cedar Point on a monday two weeks ago hoping to avoid crowds, turned out to be h.s. senior trip day. -_-

Yes, Fast Lane is most definitely worth it on a Saturday during summer. Dinosaurs Alive! wasn't really my cup of tea (high school kid here), so I wouldn't expect it to be much fun for college guys. It's more of a thing to do with the kids.

Value is in the eye of the beholder. How often do you get to the park? How important is continual riding vs. continual waiting? How much would you miss the cost of Fast Lane? How crowded is the park?

As to Dinosaurs Alive and college kids, depends on the kids. Some yes, some no.

Go fo it with the upgrade of like 45 for you can ride the flyer and The Beast. You haven't been in five years splurge for the extra perks. Dont waste your time with alive unless you have kids.

There is a special event on June 1, and it is a Saturday. That sounds to me like the park will be very crowded, so if you want to ride as many rides as possible I'd recommend getting a Fast Pass.

For the dinos, it is nice if you really like dinosaurs or are still a kid inside. It is just a walking trail with a bunch of fake dinosaurs though.

The weather also looks iffy all day, and if its like yesterday, there could be hours of rain, and when the rains gone, so are the crowds. But if its your only visit all year and you have the money, you should get Fast Lane. And if you or your kids have an interest in Dino's, or if you just want to take a break from riding rides, then should go, otherwise probably not. I hope you enjoy your visit!

I'd just wait until you arrive at the park and once in evaluate the crowd situation, see how big the it is when you get in make your desion after seeing what it looks like, but remember the crowds grow as the day goes on. But I think you might want to splurge a little if this is kind of a rare occasion and if your going with your friends make memorable for everyone. If you really want to get your money worth, pass or no pass, arrive when, or even before the park opens would probably best. And most importantly ride Firehawk. Oh yeah and the other thing about having fun, but ride Firehawk.

Hope you have fun.

Don't forget, you will not be able to ride The Beast or Firehawk without Fast Lane Plus, a $10 additional fee on top of regular Fast Lane. The good news is the more people in your group, the cheaper Fast Lane is (to a certain extent.)

Edit: Wait...this thread is old. Oh well. Hopefully someone else finds my input helpful. :/
