Therefore generating ad views, generating revenue.
BoddaH1994
Plus, I think it's more of an interest-related story, rather than a black eye for the park. If anything, the ride got more attention than it has in decades.
ohiocolts
I was stuck on the break run from The Beast that day, and was I talked about on the news? So jealous of these Adventure Express riders.
Creed Bratton
I was on there too ohiocolts! I'm not jealous. I am just frustrated with the reports of it. All I see on the news is negativity and while you know "the riders were safe and got going within __ minutes" it's still negative. How many people may visit the park and not ride ____ because it was on the news that people got stuck which then turns to the story of someone broke their leg, someone fell out, someone died, etc.
Original
'On May 21, “The Beast” was evacuated while climbing its second lift hill and riders waited about 10 minutes before being escorted off the ride. That ride stopped when a device on the coaster intended to keep cars separated detected a problem' I was on that ride, we also got suck on the break run too. I don't see what the big deal is about it.... facepalm Whoa. just saw these posts...haha I was stuck on the break run from The Beast that day, and was I talked about on the news? Oh, sorry I didn't look at the date close enough, that was last year for me. I couldn't remember the date quite right but I knew it was at the beginning of the season. My bad. TheBEASTunchained
Some of you are complaining about this being covered as a news story......Did you think that Kings Island would've rather just explained the increasing occurance of mysterious and bone-chilling screams in Action Zone?... ...I don't think so....What an evil phenomenon that would've been.... thunderbeast1968
I was stuck on Top Gun (at that time, it was still called this) we were escorted down, and given the same voucher for a "free cut" to the front of any ride line. It was not mentioned in the news or on KIC
