Oldschool75 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 In light of what happened recently at KI. And the continued talks of doing illeagal activities and trasspassing on provate property. I think we as a group need to vote on changing some rules. I would like to use this poll as a way to give a collective voice to the admins. I hate to be all 1984 and suggest that we would restrict any kind of speech, but I don't want KIC's relationship with Kings Island to be tarnished any further. My idea would be to have a 3 strike rule enforced if a member suggests any illeagal activity such as tresspassing on KI property or one of its vendors. Maybe something along the lines of 1 1st offense- Account locked for 1 week 2nd offense Acount locked for 1 month 3rd offense--Banned 2
Hank Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I would go straight to number three on the first illegal offense. Sorry - but it is a crime, not just some parking ticket.
The Interpreter Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I think this is an excellent idea, but this here place is not a democracy--the Admin owns it and the mods enforce his rules. It's really up to Mr. Dane--and to whatever others he wants to include in his decision. 4
Dane Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 We already have a system like this in place. And it's already not that forgiving. 5
secondson Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I've been to some message forums where a member's posts can be put into a queue for a moderator to review and approve first before being publicly posted. Is that an option here at KIC?
milesharrison Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Holy crap that'd be a LOT of posts to moderate and approve!
malem Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 ^^^ I think Brian's idea was more about making the TOS explicitly clear that content suggesting park rule (or law) violations is not tolerated. (eg. unauthorized photos/videos, "jokes" about trespassing) Looking at http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/4128-terms-of-service/ , I don't see anything specifically about park rules. 1
Dane Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I'll modify it later, it's one of those things that you think should be common sense and not actually be on a "rule board." 13
