Coasterama Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Me and my friends went on a Kings Island Trip on 5-18-13. We got there right as it opened and went immediately to Adventure Express (my all time favorite mine train coaster). After riding AE, Racer, and Vortex... we decided to ride the best wooden roller coaster in the world, The Beast!!! Even after riding it 6 or so times before... my heart still races when going down the massive first drop into that tunnel. Sadly, after we rode The Beast, it started to pour down rain and eventually turned into a full blown thunderstorm! It took at least an hour and a half for the rain to stop and for the rides to open again. But we waited too long and didn't get to ride Diamondback, which I surprisingly have never ridden (but am hoping to by the end of August), as well as Flight Deck because of it's 4 hour wait!? Despite all of the "bad luck" we had that day... it was still an epic day at Kings Island. Quote
jdawg1998 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Flight Deck had a 4 hour wait? No. Avoiding one word post. 2 Quote
geebs11 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Rain normally signals a good day @ Kings Island... The 4th of July was one of my better trips to Kings Island... it continually poured rain...and everyone left. Between 6pm-10pm...I virtually did anything/everything I wanted. I probably rode Diamondback 6-7 times in a 45 minute span 3 Quote
Jr for Birdy Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 I look for rain to determine my Kings Island visits during busy season times. Let it rain, let it rain! Quote

Coasterama Posted August 8, 2013 Author Posted August 8, 2013 Was the ride shut down for 4 hours? Actually now that I think about it... we did see a couple workers who looked like engineers in the queue line... maybe it was shut down because of the storm Quote
geebs11 Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Was the ride shut down for 4 hours? Bwuahhaha... It had to be! that 30 second ride...recycles riders like...whoa Quote
