Best day for Cedar Point halloween haunt

Featured Replies

I am going to Halloween Haunt this weekend and I was just wondering which day is the best day to go

I'm considering heading up there this Friday evening (tomorrow) or Sunday.

As I understand it, the mazes are open on Sunday, but outdoor scare zones are not. (I've never been to HalloWeekends.)

EDIT: According to the HalloWeekends website, mazes open at 8pm on Friday ('til midnight), 5pm on Saturday ('til midnight), and 3pm on Sunday ('til 8pm).

I skip Saturdays, it's always way to crowded when I go during haunt. Fridays or Sundays are far less crowded.

I truly believe Haunt/Fright Fest Saturdays are worse than summer Saturdays. I once went to Fright Fest at Great Advencha on a Saturday. Had to park in the overflow lot for Hurricane Bay. All lines for houses and rides were three hours, minimum. The park was packed. Ladies' restroom lines were over an hour.

Never again.

The Sunday before Columbus Day (October 13 this year) would also be a Sunday to avoid at Cedar Point and Great Adventure. Notice the extended operating hours at Cedar Point that day (open til 10 instead of 8).

Columbus Day weekend..avoid it like the plague..

Now I hate to be that guy, but I won't divuldge the certain days that are usually perfect as when people start saying things like "hey use the resort gate, ect. the secrets get lost. I remember in '10 & '11..That gate was barely packed and a very small running of the bulls and very easily able to ride Maverick/Millie 3 times or so...Now..that gate does get crowded, even the Marina gate now too..

I will say this though....Fri, get your marathoning in, Saturday do small stuff or things people don't normally go for (tiques, waveswinger, CCMR, gemini, ect..Get in line for the haunts early, and do the walkthroughs outside. Sunday just do haunts, ride this and that but haunts you can marathon easily

Friday for sure. After spending two days in the park for Fall Freak Out, there were a lot less people in the park on Friday than today (Saturday)
