I've heard some things about the renovations coney mall is getting. Does anyone know what all is being done? I'd love to see some red and blue paint on The Racer.

Jeff Seibert said at the BB construction tour that:

1. Zephyr is being repainted

2. Scrambler is being repainted yellow

3. Monster is being rennovated

PKI is Defanitly repainting some of the flat rides over there, the games and stuff might get some paint but about The Racer i don't know, some red and blue paint? on the supports? i don't know if i like that idea. but defanitly they need to repaint the cars.

Yeah...I forget when...but the handrails along the track used to be red or blue and the track itself was red or blue too. I used to have some pics on my computer but I can't find them right now.

I got a coaster book from the library which has a pic of racer where:

1. Action FX Theater isn't there

2. Both trains are going forwards

3. The handrails are painted red on one side, blue on the other.

Please have The Racer race. It seems to me that latly the past couple of years The Racer has not been racing. To me that is part of the ride, i love how you get to shout out things to the people in the car next to you.

The Carousel is being repainted and worked on.

My friend said that there is going to be a hypercoaster or inverted roller coaster called Revenge of the cobra or the revenge of Bat. ????? then some new flats and more attractions.

The only actual ride additions that PKI is receiving this season are those associated with Boomerang Bay. Those rumors about Revenge of Cobra/Bat, have been for the most part, wild and crazy rumors. Additionally, the color scheme on The Racer was the same for each side. As a matter of fact, it still had the red track and blue hand rails as of 1987. (It also still had the buzz bars then too.) Here is a picture on rcdb, taken by Ric Turner in 1987.

The park is also painting the Carousel? I know they usually do work on the horses every off season, but I never heard that they were doing work on the carousel.

Wow that is ancient. I think it's just too expensive for the park to paint the ride every year to make it look good.

Great find on those pictures. hey if any else finds some old pictures of aroun the park that would be great too.

PKI Punk, Coney Mall and *possibly* International Showplace are the last two areas that haven't been heavily renovated in the past decade, so I would assume it is the only area getting/in need of a renovation.

Coney Mall needed some Painting done to it..i hear the Rock shop is getting a Name Change and facelift i hear it is now going to be MTV:Music Shop Crazy Rumor No doubt!

With regards to The Racer races, the crew tries to race as much as possible but if they made it mandatory to race every single cycle, capacity would go way down. Scramble has already been painted yellow and the Caroucel did not get repainted. And the loop has already been added to KIMVRR.

Actually the red trim on the carousel has been repainted and putting new light bulbs on it.

In my English book, there was a picture of The Racer. It had the handrails painted red a blue and everything. Although, the book called it The Beast. It did say it was from Kings Island though.

Oktoberfest and Coney Mall should be the last 2 areas that need a little bit of fixing up, Coney Mall more though. International Showplace could use a lil bit of paint, but that's it.

International Showplace could use a lil bit of paint, but that's it.

Actually the International Showplace was completly re-painted last season before Vibe opened up on the stage. But I will agree that the stage needs some major repair work, things seem to always be falling apart there, almost every year they discover something else wrong with it.

I heard they're removing Congo Falls after this season.

I also heard they might be moving it to Rivertown.

I also heard a new hypercoaster called "When Monkeys Fly out my butt" will be put it during this upcoming season while the park is open....and they'll use real visitors as test dumbies.

From what I understand from an inside source (Jeff Siebert), they are in the process of relocating the Eiffel Tower back behind The Racer.

Enough of the insane, obvious, made-up, crap. It really does get annoying.
