It seems to me that latly the past couple of years The Racer has not been racing. To me that is part of the ride, i love how you get to shout out things to the people in the car next to you.

coasterrz Posted March 14, 2004 Posted March 14, 2004 The only actual ride additions that PKI is receiving this season are those associated with Boomerang Bay. Those rumors about Revenge of Cobra/Bat, have been for the most part, wild and crazy rumors. Additionally, the color scheme on The Racer was the same for each side. As a matter of fact, it still had the red track and blue hand rails as of 1987. (It also still had the buzz bars then too.) Here is a picture on rcdb, taken by Ric Turner in 1987. The park is also painting the Carousel? I know they usually do work on the horses every off season, but I never heard that they were doing work on the carousel.

Scramble has already been painted yellow and the Caroucel did not get repainted. And the loop has already been added to KIMVRR.

It had the handrails painted red a blue and everything. Although, the book called it The Beast. It did say it was from Kings Island though.

Actually the International Showplace was completly re-painted last season before Vibe opened up on the stage. But I will agree that the stage needs some major repair work, things seem to always be falling apart there, almost every year they discover something else wrong with it.

I also heard a new hypercoaster called "When Monkeys Fly out my butt" will be put it during this upcoming season while the park is open....and they'll use real visitors as test dumbies.
