CoastersRZ
Read the article here: http://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2014/02/10/coney-island-names-new-vp-general.html I have worked with Mike Howard through my years at Coney. He is a great guy. Glad to see him get promoted.
BoddaH1994
Heard the old GM is the one taking over The Beach. We'll see....
CoastersRZ
No one from Coney is actively involved in taking over GM position at The Beach. At least not that I have heard, at least not yet. I have heard there maybe some people at Coney interested in that position, but it certainly was not the "old GM" from Coney. BoddaH1994
I've heard that it was an old Coney person. Thought this would be it. I don't really have a vested involvement with The Beach, so take it for what it's worth.
CoastersRZ
The originial person that I heard was looking into the Beach position from Coney has opted to stay at Coney.
BB1
Great to hear the advancements with the Coney Island infrastructure, which I know will spark new, innovative attractions at Coney; though, keeping the small family park feel that Coney has. upstop
Just a quick question...Are the Como Cruisers on a guide rail or are they free range like the canoes?
CoastersRZ
They are in a "contained" area of the lake which has a center divider. Think of them more like a set of bumper cars that has a center divider. The individual boats are free to move around in the area. But boat bumping is not allowed. upstop
That's good. I could see crazy things happening in the open water with the paddle boats and canoes.
