You can ask, but I hope no one answers. It's not important everyone knows in my opinion. Someone made a poor choice and I hope the individual learns that it's not acceptable. I know I used it as a tool to talk to my daughter about doing things for the right reasons and not doing things for selfish reasons.

If you're trying to refer to me, I did wear last year's shirt on Sunday, but I absolutely did not attempt in any way to participate. I rode The Racer only once, on the public side. I simply wore the shirt to show support for the event. In doing so, during the day a few park guests saw the shirt and approached me to ask what the event was about, which gave me an opportunity to explain to them the wonderful cause that this event supports. I consider that a to be a plus for the park and for Give Kids the World.

As for earlier posts of mine in this thread, my decision to not participate this year was made well before the two-lap-and-take-a-break policy came up. Looking back, I overreacted to that policy when it did come up, and for that I apologize. However, I had already decided much earlier to skip the event for the simple reason that I needed a break from it. Regardless of any re-ride policy, I will almost certainly be participating again next year. :)

Actually we had that discussion back before I had done with Scream for a Kid Again because it is an organization I am passionate about. She wanted to do that event, but I was not sure if she truly wanted to do the fundraising for the sake of helping or for the extra ride time. So we opted to have her wait until this event.

I hope your not talking about my Partner and I, we had last years shirt on, but we were suppose to take part of the event at Cedar Point and were allowed to take part at Kings Island on Sunday, we didn't have this years shirt till later after lunch. I raised $465 while he raised $500. However we do get to take part at the Rescheduled event at Cedar Point on June 22nd.

What a moral/ethical dilemma that has surfaced!

I wasn't present at such event/situation so I cannot speak to what happened. Is it a case of someone simply not getting a shirt; someone that came down from CP; not having a shirt their size, etc. but had met such requirements set forth to participate and most on here are not aware requirement was met, or was it indeed truly someone that failed to meet the requirements and tried to sneak their way into such event. If it were the latter, was such person escorted away from event and/or park or was nothing done?

Now, because the person hasn't been named, folks like jcgoble3, PKIVortex, and others are wondering if someone thinks it was/were them. And worse, maybe now someone that didn't know incident occurred remembers seeing someone with the shirt from last year and assumes incorrectly that person is it, thus eroding reputation of such innocent person. Does the accused individual know that they are being "called out" and is it accurate?

Since this forum could loosely be considered "media" (people do get info about park from this site and members get to attend media day after all), should the individual accused of such infraction be named - unless a minor, unless being tried as an adult?

Do admins ban such individual from forum? Is this the final blow that either brings the site down or causes it to be a "paid" membership?

Lots of questions, many that will go unanswered for some time.

I'm not going to focus on the negative of whatever allegedly happened (I honestly only saw two people wearing last year's shirt (PKIVortex and his partner) and they were given permission to attend at KI since CP's event got cancelled/rescheduled.)

I had a great time at the event! Thankfully I got to registration early on, because the line for registration was moving a little bit slow. Diamondback ERT/Marathon was great! 8 rides to wake me up! Afterwards, Gator, Princess Sparkles, beastie1980, jlopez and a few others hit up The Beast right afterwards. It was a great front row ride! Gator and I then headed to Backlot before heading over to The Racer. That ride was probably my most favorite on Backlot.

Then it was time for Racer marathoning! As often as we could, we avoided wheel seats! Just before noon, it started to rain slightly. Wasn't too bad of a ride with the rain. Lunch time was good. The food was great again. The macaroni salad was probably the best I've ever tasted. Soon after lunch, we went back to The Racer. Tons of marathoning. I finally felt like I had enough and ended my marathon with 33 total rides. Relaxed for a bit then ate Hanks for dinner. The rest of the evening was pretty relaxed with a stop to see Cirque Imagine.

The event ended with Banshee night time ERT. I determined my first ride after dark had to be in the front row! HOLY COW! What a great experience! I had about 8 rides on it that evening. I was quite surprised of how each ride was different in all the different seats that I sat in. 1-4, 8-1 and 8-4 were probably my favorite.

The day was extremely exhausting but quite fun! I was happy to meet some people finally from this site on Saturday and Sunday!

^Yes, that was definitely the most fun I've had on BLSC!

Another great tradition is singing while on The Racer. This year included the Coasting for Kids standards "We Are the Champions" and "Bohemian Rhapsody", as well as selections from Frozen such as "Let It Go", which was sung several times but I once changed the words to "The rain never bothered me anyway" after one of our rainy rides, and when I changed the first two lines of "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" to "Do you wanna ride The Racer? C'mon let's go again!"

Then there was our rendtion of Pitbull and Ke$ha's "Timber" where as we were cresting the top of the first hill, we started singing "We're going down, we're yelling TIMBEEEEEEERRRRRRR!" and holding that last word all the way down the hill.

Good times... :D
