We are traveling on July 21st which is a Monday and need a hotel for the night of the 20. We have a group of 5 and would like to keep the price under 130$ and prefer any hilton, marriott or ihg brand. Also somewhere within 30 miles. Also do hotels offer any packages with tickets? Out of 5 only 4 of us are visiting the park. We've never been so what are Mondays in July like crowd wise? Thanks!

I would usually pick The Grand Floridian, it provides an excellent experience for any vacation.

^^ Replying to your original topic is generally better than starting a new one, in that case.

Mondays in July will be less crowded than Saturdays in July. Wait times are difficult to predict.

The major hotel brands usually offer their lowest rates at their websites (hilton.com, ihg.com, choicehotels.com, etc). Make sure to enter any rate code you qualify for (AAA, police/military, AARP, etc). Staying under $130 in the Cincinnati area shouldn't usually be a problem, especially with a 30 mile radius.

Some hotels may offer ticket packages, but make sure to compare prices to see if it saves you money. It might be cheaper to book your hotel reservation at a discounted rate and buy park tickets separately (eg. Kroger, park's website, AAA store).

Note the sarcasm in the post. The user never clarified which park he or she was going to except for posting the topic in Kings Island section,an area many post odd ball questions in the past. Therefore, being myself, i gave an answer.

I heard Super 8 has a deal, GWL is always a good choice.

Despite some bad reviews, I will add the Kings Island Inn and Conference Center. We have stayed there twice this season, and I will grant you, the first stay, the room was dated, and not "perfect" by any standards, but it was, for the most part clean and comfortable.

Now as for our second stay there, we asked for a room in the "main" building. A huge difference was experienced, the room had new carpet, and was VERY clean. It appears they are trying to update their rooms. Other than a shortage of electrical outlets, the room was more than satisfactory. Add in free shuttle service to and from the park, every 1/2 hour, an indoor pool with hot tub, an outdoor pool as well, and a very competitive price when booked in advance. If anyone decides on this as an option, we stayed in building A, though I think buildings A, B, and C would give a similar experience. Also they offer a breakfast buffet wich, if ordered the night before, was only $6.99.

^ This X10.

Stayed there twice this season and have nothing but good to say.

I heard Super 8 has a deal,

No....the only room in the area we've had that the wife would not even take off her shoes for bed.

Yes....it's that bad.

No offense but why are people willing to pay 130 a night for a place your just going to sleep and shower? As long as the room is clean and taken care of that's all that matters to me.

Try Hilton Garden Inn or Holiday Inn Express. You may be able to find a deal at one of those places. If not, check on tripadvisor.com for options.

We have great relationships with a lot of local hotels. For a listing of our featured hotels, visit https://www.visitkingsisland.com/places-to-stay/featured-hotels.

Most of these hotels also have our tickets, you'll need to reach out to them individual for more information. Discounted tickets can also be purchased at Kroger.

I would recommend the Marriott Northeast, the Hampton Inn, the Hyatt Pleceor the Hilton Garden Inn which are all located within 10 minutes of the park and in Mason, OH. Don't stay at the KI Resort & Conference Center. They've been known to have problems and it IS NOT a resort. If you are looking for a little something extra, the Great Wolf Lodge is located directly next to the park and includes a water park. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Do you have any good options for spacious suites??

I will say it again...Hampton Inn!! Every Hampton Inn is insanely clean, comfortable, and friendly. Great breakfast, great service, the best beds around. And cheap!

Cheap is a relative term. I can and do stay for three nights at a different chain for less than the typical cost of one night at a Hilton affiliated property (such as Hampton Inns).

In addition to the criteria you listed, quiet is a top priority for me.

My fiance and I have decided to do a last minute trip next Thurs, leaving after a dr appt in the afternoon, so we expect to get to the park around 5-6p and then stay all day Friday, We are looking for very cheap since the wedding is next month and I found a Red Roof Inn for $60, I know these can be hit and miss, has anyone stayed at the one in Blue Ash? I'm so excited to be going, it's been a long time since I've been to a park and know nothing about how the platinum passes work, so going in the middle of the afternoon I was thinking would make the processing easier. Is there a listing anywhere of which rides are open early for pass holders?

This year, it's select rides in Planet Snoopy and in Action Zone (including Banshee).

Kings Island will be hosting the Spirit Song Christian music festival this Thursday through Saturday, so expect heavier-than-usual crowds for June.

Heavier than usual is an understatement.

Expect a packed park with extremely long lines regardless of weather. Unless you are planning on buying Fast Lane Plus or are going FOR Spirit Song, I'd reschedule that visit.

I did see that, it's ok though, we will be going back on the fourth of July and the day after our wedding, besides any other trips we decide to do, we both just really need to get out of here for a while.

I would say to make sure you check out hotelwards.com. Last time I used them and found a great deal, what I like I about this site over others is that you get Cash Back on anything you want to book, it's a win win :)

Btw, I like use of my cash back credit card, and booking on this site as well. I get to double dip on discounts. It's almost like I have about 4% off on everything I ever book.

I highly recommend it!

Happy Thanksgiving
