Makes me think that the other items for sale in parks are doing better than gate.

While yes it's a good deal it's only an additional 7$ ( or so) off of the other deals available

I would have liked it better if they included free drinks for additional $10, CP has their Ride & Refresh deal $49.99 adult ticket, great deal. I was just going to purchase the Hotel Breakers ticket at $39 when I went in August, but $10 more and free drinks , what a steal.

Both the souvenir cup and the drink wrist bands are $10. I don't see what the issue is...

I was being sarcastic. (We really need a sarcasm font on here). JDF stated he would like it better if for $10 more they offered unlimited drinks.

You can get perfectly cold and very free ice water at any food place (except for the carts).

Yup. The carts are convenient, but they also conveniently only have bottled drinks, which will set you back 3 something dollars for a single bottle of water.

Which is why I gave you a "like". I thought the "..." at the end of your post was a good sarcasm indicator.

I got an email from CincySaver.com today with an offer for Kings Island tickets for $33.99 for use during Kings Island Kicks Cancer Days, July 25th - August 24th. $1 from each ticket sold online goes towards the Kings Island Kicks Cancer campaign.

If you only bought one ticket, you still came out ahead. The $30 one-day sale was online only, and any purchase through the KI website involves a $6 fee tacked on at the end, so a single ticket would have cost $36. If you bought two tickets for $34 each at Kroger (total $68), you only paid $2 more than you would have online (30+30+6=$66). If you bought more, then you would have benefitted more, but $34 a ticket still isn't bad.

Well I did buy 2 tickets but $2 extra isnt bad. I didnt notice that there is a $6 fee online. I was thinking about buying the parking ahead of time online (if it gets you inside any faster on a sat morning?) and maybe the all day dining plan. I am considering just doing one all day dining plan for both my husband and i and we can share the meals. I know you can only order 1 meal every 90 minutes but maybe its worth it. But idk if it will be worth it if there is a $6 fee online?

*i havent been to ki since i was a kid so this is the first time i am actually paying for it and making the decisions so im not experienced at all on what is a good deal or not!

^ The $6 fee doesn't apply to parking or dining plan purchases this season, so you should be able to order either online without an extra fee.

The all day dining plan is intended for one person; sharing isn't permitted (per the park).

For less than the cost of one dining plan, you could both dine at the full-service Reds Hall of Fame Grille located near Diamondback. Many here consider this to be the best food value in the park.

I wonder if there was some sort of special deal going on yesterday too. We usually go on Wednesday because it's not crowded but yesterday was the most crowded we have experienced it all season. We waited over an hour to ride The Beast ate ice cream and left because it was so packed. Before getting our passes this year, I hadn't been to KI since I worked there as a teenager in like 1993 or so, so maybe I'm just out of touch with what normal mid-week volume is in the middle of summer though.
