BoddaH1994
This is incredibly interesting. I really like KD's program for their 40th anniversary.
Hoeter
While on the topic of Dennis Spiegel, I was watching "Rollercoaster" right before we went out of town on our weekend trip. Sure enough, he was cast as the GM of Kings Dominion in the movie and IMDB has him credited. He must have been, what, in his 20's when he opened Kings Dominion? He certainly looks like he's in his late 50's/early 60's!

Hoeter
27 years old, Gary Wachs and Taft throw him the keys to Kings Dominion and tell him good luck. One lucky man right there...
thegajone
One lucky man who also proves that one can make his or her own luck.
The Interpreter
Indeed. Dennis Speigel was and is a hard working genius. Taft recognized that early on.

TTD-120-420
Cedar Point is crowded when 60k+ people are in the park. I can't imagine that many people in a newly developed park that doesn't offer as many things to do as Cedar Point does. It had to be insanity. I've said it once and I will say it again; times have changed since a very young Mr. Speigel was given a chance to manage the park. What's the average age of GM's in the industry now? The Interpreter
Probably early 50's....
