AgentSoB
Taking a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure Thursday and was trying to get an idea on the price for a Flash Pass. I checked around their website as well as a search here but found no answer. Any idea on the possible range of price. Also, side note, I haven't been to a Six Flags since 2002 and It was the then Worlds of Adventure. I'm imagining the parks are ran a lot better these days right? I know Terpy speaks highly on the park, so I'm sure all is well.
The Interpreter
Great Adventure's The Flash Pass pricing is breathtaking. It's more than at Six Flags Great America, where I paid $105, with a season pass discount, for the highest tier--Platinum, which included two rides on Goliath. I'd call the park for specifics. If you do, please post them here. And yes, operations at Six Flags Great Adventure are better than ten years ago. However, New Jersey law makes some things...interesting. Visual Scan! kblanken
The park website is right now showing a price for them, per one person on this Thursday: Platinum $115, Gold $70 and Regular $45.
The Interpreter
Regular means you don't have to stand in line but you do wait as long as the standby for each ride (during which you can do something else), gold is about a 15-20 minute wait, platinum is near immediate. Typically new rides are limited to platinum and only twice. I'd assume this is the case with Big Droppy Thing.
kblanken
Also take note that some rides, like Rolling Thunder, aren't available on Flash Pass at all.
The Interpreter
...or any other way. Sigh. (goes off to sob some more)

CoastersRZ
When I went to SFGAdv three years ago I was amazed at the "Visual Scan" that all the operators were doing. Is that New Jersey law that they have to do that?
The Interpreter
It is a required practice in that state. SFGAm does it, too, but ops call out, "Take Five!" while doing the same visual scan maneuver.
malem
^ Operators at Kings Island have been calling out "scan" in recent weeks before dispatching a train. It's probably a good idea. An explicit cue to check the platform makes that step harder to overlook.

I heard one ride op at NJFTP yell "Take Five!" before dispatch. That ride was Runaway Mine Train. Didn't know what it was when I heard it...
AgentSoB
Anybody have any good food recommendations while in the park? Is it better to just eat outside the park?
