Visit #10

Featured Replies

I have been to Kings Island 9 times...lifetime. :P Though currently there are plans to visit on June 24th, which would be my 10th visit overall...and first visit this season.

So...I am pretty much super easy to beat on here. :P

I know someone here with a count much higher than that, but I'll let her chime in herself :)

As for me, I'm somewhere between 15 and 20 this season, I think? I lost count after 13.

I have been once a week since opening week so I think that puts me around 6 or 7 visits, there was one week that I did go there twice. This week might be the first week I don't make it up there as I plan on attending Italian Fest in Newport.

I'm at 13 visits this year. I'll be out of town for a conference next week for work then to France for two weeks after that so I'll be feeling some withdrawals. Haha

I've only done 2 visits this year so far (with a third one coming on Friday). My lifetime total so far is 60 visits (Friday's visit will be the 61st).

I've been there too many times to even count anymore. Soon to be more as the season progresses.

How far is the District of Columbia from Mason, Ohio?

Google sayeth approximately 7.5 hours, add an extra in current traffic, and ~475 miles.

I'm on my 14th tonight. Took forever after work as 71 was backed up all the way to exit 19.

I'm always amused by comments about Ohio traffic. It can take me three hours to get out of DC during rush hour. Or longer.

Atlanta was worse. Much worse.

I get that, Portland traffic was way worse when I lived out there than Cincinnati's. I was just making mention of the traffic in this case because it took over an hour to get to the park which is highly unusual. I thought maybe someone else who was considering coming out might want the heads up.

I think I'm tied with the OP at 10 so far in 2015. I lost track of my life-time count sometime back in ... 1985.

I just got back from my 11th visit this year, thanks to my older brother.

I wish I had thought to count them back in my younger days. Same with number of rides on each coaster. I think I could come up with how many different coasters I've ridden but not how many times on each.

I'm kind of jealous that others can keep track of those things. My goldfish brain makes it difficult to even remember how many times and/or which rides I've rode that day. I'd have to be really concentrating, and keeping count on my phone as I went, which just feels too cumbersome to bother.

And here I was happy I'd already made our season passes worth the money at 3 visits this year! ;)

I'm at 6 for Kings Island, 2 Cedar Point and 2 Carowinds.

I could keep track of all this stuff, just never felt the need to. Not like it matters to anyone but me :)

I've just been once this year, but I'd like to return soon!

That's what spreadsheets are for.   :)

Or Word documents!  ^_^ As for me, I've been to the park 6 times* this season.

*This number does not count days worked in park.

Probably, I had a season pass from when I was 3 to 7, and went at least every year from around 8-12, didn't go for a few years. Now that I have a season pass, I'm probably approaching 20-25.

Spreadsheets (or better yet, database-driven applications) are much better to track the overall picture, from visits to dining plan meal redemptions and even rides ridden.  All tracked over time.

Okay, so I'm not that far yet..  Just visits and meals.

For the record:

Cedar Point: 2 meals, 2 days

Kings Island: 8 meals, 5 days

Knott's Berry Farm: 1 meal, 1 day

:)

I would have to count the days the park has been open and subtract one.

Cedar Point 1 (day I missed Kings Island)

Dollywood 1

Carowinds 1

I use a spreadsheet for year end ride totals (so I can see how many total times I've ridden a ride), but for individual seasons, I use a Word document.

0 visits this year. I'll only get one and that will be on Fathers Day.
