BoddaH1994
I know this has been touched on elsewhere, but I believe it constitutes its own thread. According to Kings Island's official Twitter, the park will remain open until 11:00pm tonight, June 28th. www.twitter.com/kingsislandPR

dtk1378
Is this very common to happen on really busy days? I can't recall anytime they have extended the close time on the actual day.
Thrill_Biscuit
This is the first time I can remember it happening. It is quite crowded here.
VortexBFForever
This reminds me of when I was at Dollywood back in April 2013 and the closing time was extended from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. due to the crowds. This is the first time I've heard of Kings Island doing such a thing. I know those who are at KI now will enjoy the extra time like I did at Dollywood! malem
Hopefully they remember not to play the "all the rides and attractions are closing for the night" message that gets played following the non-extended fireworks soundtrack.
Diamondback96
Why couldn't they have done this on Friday?
jdawg1998
The crowds today are ridiculous. Adventure Express had a line outside the entrance. Viking Fury had a full queue. Diamondback with 90 minute wait. Flight of Fear with 100 minute wait. People parking in the grass fields by the parking lot.  I've never seen a Sunday this crowded before; it reminds me more of a mid-July day at a Disney World park.
Pagoda Gift Shop
This is likely all because yesterday was a complete washout. Â Being a Saturday, I'm sure there were a lot of people who had tickets to use and went today. Â
jdawg1998
That's not entirely true. Yesterday was insanely crowded as well. The wait times were actually about the same as today. If there were people who didn't go yesterday and came today instead, I can't imagine the crowds if yesterday had been a nice, warm, sunny day...
Oldschool75
Exactly why I don't go on the weekends in the Summer unless for an event.

I've never seen a Sunday this crowded before; it reminds me more of a mid-July day at a Disney World park. I agree; it was the busiest Sunday I've ever experienced. We spent about 30 minutes between getting a parking space (with two very stupid people coming close to ruining the day) and buying my niece a BAF ticket. In the park around 1:45 and left at 6 so I could take her to Akron. Everything had waits that I would expect from a Saturday in July. We didn't get to do much: Eiffel Tower, Cirque Imagine, Viking Fury, and Carousel. It was nice to have her visit the park to see where her grandparents, mom, aunt and uncles went for vacations in the late 70's to mid 80's. She didn't want to ride any coasters as she felt it was weird to ride anything without her sister and cousin - we spent 2-days at BGT a few years ago riding everything together. She loved the Cirque Imagine show and enjoyed just walking around the park.
